Dr. Nelson is a paternalistic doctor that would rather police womens fertility than protect them from cancer. He said I couldn't have a hysterectomy because of my age and because I didn't have children, told me to come back in a year. I got a second opinion and was approved right away, I had my hysterectomy without any further exams.

There was also some things that happened during my exam with him that are not quite right. I don't think he should have young women as patients.

August 2020 they discovered I had stage 4 ovarian cancer. Saw Dr Nelson who arranged surgery right away followed by chemo. The surgery went really well and I am still getting checked every six months. Dr Nelson has been nothing but kind, considerate and very knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend him to anyone who needs surgery.

Hi. I wanted to say how grateful I am to Dr. Nelson for performing my surgery. My surgery was performed on the 13th, I was let out of the hospital on the 15th and I am happily home and starting on my path to recovery. I am very thankful that he performed my surgery as the movement and mobility is easy with the incision. I am walking constantly and hoping that I’ll be recovered enough in 8 to 10 weeks to be able to get on my ski touring skis and hopefully get on the great divide by this summer. The hospital stay was nice and the nurses were very helpful and understanding. Thanks again Dr. Nelson. You have done so much!

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Nelson. He moved quickly when he discovered my mom had an aggressive cancer to get her in for surgery fast. He listened to concerns we had about her treatment plan and was responsive to them. And he is extremely approachable and knowledgeable. He truly seems to care about his patients. I hope you never need a gynecologist-oncologist surgeon, but if you do, you're in good hands with him.

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Nelson, I found his bedside manner to be quite cold and cannot recommend him. I had quite a bit of pain during and after my appointment with him and had no help or resources provided when I asked about my issue and again contacted the clinic in the days after the appointment.

He's more interested in coercing patients in consenting to the exam than he is in listening to us. I am severely traumatized by what happen to me at this clinic.

Oct 2020 pelvic ultrasound found a large mass on my ovary. Saw Dr Nelson, he was friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Jan 2021 he did my surgery, hysterectomy, removal of ovaries and the mass and staging as the mass was suspicious (removal of fat lining, lymph nodes and appendix). Had my follow up the mass was stage one clear cell carcinoma but everything else was clear. I am very grateful he did the staging so I don't have to go for another surgery.
