Dr. Hatelid seems like a very good doctor, but it's hard to tell because he's never available. We have a 1 y/o boy, delivered by Dr. Hatelid, who just started daycare and has already been sick a few times. Of course we want to get him checked out fairly quickly, but we can never get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time because he's in one clinic or another. We went to a clinic he was supposed to be at and it turned out plans changed. Maybe a doctor with an office should be there a little more often to treat his patients. Seems logical. Now we actually have a second doctor that we go to when we need to get our boy in due to sickness.....hatelid is only good for check-ups planned well in advance. When I phone into the office for an appointment, before they even ask my name the secretary is trying to deter us from making the appointment....instead suggesting we chase Hatelid down at one of the clinics. Not ideal for a 1y/o if you ask me.

He has gone out of his way to understand our children's autism and the impact on the family. He has always made us feel as though he is aware of our situation and is willing to help find additional information or support.

I was diverted to Ridge Meadows hospital from Surrey Memorial Hospital because there was no beds left in the birthing unit. I'm so glad that happend. Dr. Hatlelid was so pateint. He listened to what i wanted.Great bed side manners. Very calm, never made me feel rushed.

Excellent doctor. I am a Type 1 diabetic and if he doesn't know the answer to a question, he does research on it. Takes the time to talk to you about things in your life.

Excellent Doctor. Makes you feel at ease and you really know that he is listening to you while you are there and focusing on you and your issue/concerns. Excellent 'bedside manner'. Always willing to take extra time to explain things to you and never talks above you. He gets right down to your level to make sure that you understand what is being discussed.

Absolutely the MD I've ever had. The whole family goes to him and if its okay to say you love your doctor, then I love him. He's great with kids and was terrific during my pregnancy and emergency C/S. I never feel rushed and he always takes the time to thoroughly explain whatever you're there for. Too bad there aren't award ceremonies for doctors. He'd clean up!
