I had a regular doctor for years; he passed away unfortunately for me. Now , I have no family doctor, so had to go to the E.R. In Canada, I've been only in the E.R. twice. The first time was horrible; I felt as if a leper may have felt, coming into town with a loud bell so people would know his arrival was near ,The doctor was into his own philosophy, that's for sure, and, either forgot what he learned, or never retained it in the first place! His bedside manner was so intimidating,, and as I listened in awe, I went rather blank and left without asking questions. However, with Dr. Hannigan, it was a polar opposition! My faith was restored ; immediately, I was put at ease, with his bedside manner. He treated me with respect, empathy and listing to me;communicating! He is a true professional, as well as "the crew" that were on staff. My heartfelt thanks ! Had I not had that good experience, I would have probably not returned to ER. ,in this life. Thank You!

I don't know why people are rating this guy so high. He has terrible bedside manner and was rude. I had fallen and injured my lower back and not even an xray..slipped disc!!!

The most caring doctor I have seen in the ER. He has a great bedside manner and explained things well and offered suggestions to help other things in my life, not just my current health issue. He made me feel important and like he really wanted to help me. I would love to have a family doctor like him!!

I couldn't agree more, best ER doctor I have ever met. He cared about the problem, did everything he could to fix it, made me feel better emotionally and even called 4 weeks later to check on me. Amazing!

Hands down the best er doctor in Saint John . He genuinely cares and takes even the littelest problem seriously and puts real effort into solving your problem and had impeccable bedside manner.
