Dr. Sharon Li seems like a nice person when you first meet her, but after your initial appointment with her, you will find out she is definitely not trustworthy. She spent most of the time discussing some common knowledge of my situation and almost did nothing about my illness during the appointment. She tried her best to persuade me to take surgery which is apparently unnecessary. Based on the quote she gave me, the surgery she suggested is crazily extra charged. So I decided not to revisit her. She called me by herself(not her staff) the following week, and asked me to schedule an appointment with her. When I asked what the appointment was for, she said there were some test results she wants to discuss. This is kind of creepy because she mentioned nothing about taking specimens from me, running any tests, and what these tests are for during our initial appointment. I completely don't know these tests exist. This makes me very uncomfortable I refused to schedule an appointment. She called me the second time on Friday night after working hours to scare me to see her on the weekend. She said she can take a cheaper appointment fee($170) if I pay her in cash. At this point, I am aware this shouldn't be right. I went to check my Medicare claim history the later day, and I found she charged me bulk bills for both of the 2 phone calls I mentioned before. Even though these phone calls were mainly about her asking me to make an appointment with her, and there was nothing about my illness or treatment. She didn't tell me these would be charged phone calls when she called me. Moreover, the worst part is she requested several bulk bill tests for me and I completely don't know. These tests were claimed from my Medicare account with a lot of money too.
So my review isn't about Dr. Sharon Li's knowledge or skill, these are things I didn't have a chance to know yet. But for her attitude as a doctor, she barely can be called a good doctor, even a good person. For her, all aims are for money. She will make the greatest use of every appointment with her and claim as much as possible money from your Medicare or your private health insurance. If you went to or you're going to see her, I highly suggest you check your Medicare claim history after your appointment with her. I hope there aren't charges or tests you have never acknowledged like my case.

The only positive thing I can say is that the receptionist was lovely and they were able to fit me in last minute without a referral. However, Sharon told me to tell my GP to put my appointment date on the referral that I was getting the next day. My GP informed me today that this is apparently ILLEGAL and refused to do it therefore I won’t be getting my Medicare rebate for this overpriced appointment THAT WASN’T EVEN HELPFUL.

I left feeling so dismissed and defeated. My abnormal severe pain I’ve been experiencing was dismissed as normal and no options to figure out what could be going on were given. I felt like this doctor didn’t even listen to my concerns about her recommendations for another issue, told me to just give the medication a go (even though I told her this type of medication has had severe impacts on my body and mental health in the past). She didn’t even offer alternatives until I asked myself (luckily I had done my own research) but she just gave me more pamphlets and didn’t explain anything to me. Nor did she tell me what all my options were just the one she recommended. I kept having to ask for clarification on things but still left feeling confused and rushed.

I got the feeling that she just wanted me to try things that ‘might work’ so that I would keep coming back when they didn’t, instead of actually trying to figure out the best option for my particular case. I would recommend going elsewhere to someone who will actually take the time to listen to you and explain things rather than just giving you prescriptions, pamphlets and tests you feel like you don’t need nor want.

Over the years I have seen many gynecologist, Dr Sharon Li has been by far the most amazing one yet..she was very helpful and expalined everything to me...

We had Dr Li for our pregnancy after a number of infertility issues. We will definitely be using her again if we are able to have another child. She is highly recommend by us and we absolutely love the warm and family welcoming feeling.

Consultation fee is high for such poor care and service. Dr. requests you to do unnecessary tests to charge you so much more. She doesn't care and is all about the money.

Hopeless..tries to scare you into doing surgery and pressures you to do an unnecessary operations and tests. Had a follow up appointment with her and she had NO IDEA why I was seeing her again. Go and get a second opinion on whatever she tells you. Agree with the others on how high her charges are. I went to another OB which was so much more professional and did my procedure without surgery.

Very average OB. So incredibly glad that I had my second baby with another OB at another hospital after quite a disappointing experience with her. Her time management is absolutely appaling. Have waited over an hour for her past an appointment time many times. Reception staff are junior. Her fees are some of the absolute highest for very mediocre ‘care’. Her PMF is nuts compared to other OBs. She is a nice enough person don’t get me wrong but it is evident after getting to know her ways that you get little more then a weigh, a blood pressure check & out the door attached to a price tag $$$$. New OB was absolutely chalk and cheese. Cannot even compare. ‘Shop’ around before selecting.
