Dr. Ania is always friendly, she takes the time to explain procedures, answer my questions and give options for treatment. She is easily the best dentist I've ever seen, worth the trip to the Beltline to see her and her team.

HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Dr Ania is not only the most lovely person, but a very thorough, knowledgable dentist. She was able to identify some issues with my teeth that other dentists have not noticed. I find her to be highly competent and so approachable and enjoyable to be around.

I had a root canal procedure with Dr. AM. She told me, it would take 1.5 hours and it took longer because she actually left me during the procedure and went to talk to her other patient. Particularly, she told me that only 15 minutes left, and we will be all done in 15 minutes. Right after that, a receptionist came in and told her that a patient of hers wants to talk to her. And she made a decision to go to talk to her patient and to leave me without any explanation, with head down, with open mouth, and several things in it, so I cannot close it. It took her exactly 15 minutes to finish talking with her patient and then she came back and finished my procedure. I was not happy about the situation. She felt it and started inappropriately joking with her assistant about me not being very communicative and not talking to her... Well, my mouth was wide open with some metals in it to start with... I wrote her a letter about my experience. She called me back after few days and said she prefers to talk on the phone. She tried to explain her behavior. When I asked, if she heard about a surgeon leaving a patient during a surgery, to go talk to another patient, she told me, that this is a common practice and she has a right to do so. At the same time, she apologized and told me that she will make sure that such experience will not happen again with me or anyone else. Just when I thought, well, OK, she has apologized, it is OK now, she told me, I was borderline rude because I failed connecting with her and did not come to her office with a smile on my face. She acknowledged that people could have personal problems, like divorcing a husband or anything else, but people at her office including her are humans as well... Well, I am not divorcing my husband ))) It was my second appointment, it was a root canal procedure, so I came in, said "hi", waited until called in, came, sat, opened my mouth, etc. Never ever in my life I thought that one needs to make a personal connection with a dentist (seen her only 1 time before that) for that. Me being "borderline rude" was concluded because during the procedure I pushed the hand of her assistant when she almost sucked in part of my tong instead of saliva. My mouth was wide open, numb after injections and I could not say anything at moment. I explained to Dr AM that it was more of a reflex on a sharp pain, and she told me that after my explanation she understood me better. How about clarifying that with a patient first, and then concluding if they are borderline rude? How about not sucking in to the tong instead of saliva on the first place? How about not having inappropriate jokes while performing procedure and rather concentrating on the procedure than playing a cool comedian? On a technical side, (1) fluoride was applied to my gums and teeth without it being explained to me. I did not ask for fluoride and if I knew I would refuse that step; (2) when I asked if there are any alternatives to root canal procedure, she told me only about tooth extraction, means, her knowledge on holistic dentistry is rather limited.
