Well I can only speak for myself. And I’ll tell you.

B.S. sat on my child’s MRI results for 2 weeks without even looking at them. It wasn’t until after I brought a different child in for a visit and left his office that he personally chased me down waving papers in hand on a downtown street as I was buckling my toddler in her car seat. I even asked him specifically during the appointment if my other child’s MRI results were in. I was told they were not. But nonetheless B.S. shows up handing me the radiology report for her MRI on the sidewalk. The fax was dated for two weeks prior. I asked what it was. He said it was her MRI report. When I asked what it meant he said, “It just explains that she’s having aural migraines.” FALSE. Casey Mickler ruled out aural migraines with this MRI. My daughter has an inoperable brain tumor. She has a brain tumor. Lipoma. And that’s exactly what this paper said.
His nurse Shonda, accused my 12 year old of faking symptoms to gain attention because she has a younger sister with special needs and her symptoms (color fading in her left eye, seeing black rings around everything out of her left eye, strange headaches she can map externally) “didn’t match anything.” Apparently B.S. didn’t disagree because he never even bothered to look at the test results. This is just the tip of the iceberg, too.
When I inquired about my daughter’s Pectus excavatum (a condition in which a person's breastbone is sunken into their chest) he actually said, “It’s not an issue. Honestly, it will help her cleavage be more defined, no harm no foul.” Except in his perverse dismissal.
Back to my daughter with special needs...B.S. referred my daughter for ADOS (an Autism diagnostic test) upon my request. On a scale of 1-10 my daughter scored a 9. At the point of the ADOS my daughter had been in multiple therapies for over 4 years. Physical, visual, occupational and speech therapies. At the age of 9 B.S. diagnosed her with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Except instead of diagnosing my daughter with autism so she can receive appropriate autism related services he just added Autism to her “problem list,” and wrote “Autism” on a prescription paper with the medical diagnostic code next to it. He never created a medical note connecting the dots for her diagnosis. It’s been over a year since the ADOS results told us what is going on. Yet my child can’t receive appropriate services (such ABA therapy) because he didn’t actually do his job. Now my daughter at age 10 must wait for her insurance to approve a second ADOS and start all over again. This means getting back on a wait list for the ADOS (6months-2years) and a wait list for ABA therapy that has an equally long wait list after insurance approves a second ADOS.
I trusted this man. I literally trusted him with the lives of my children. What a horrific mistake. If this doesn’t deter you, just know that as a pediatrician B.S. cares more about curing cellulite and crow’s feet with Botox than inoperable brain tumors, MRI results and Autism Spectrum disorders. The block of fat on display when you walk in the front door coupled with posters of how they can fix your every imperfection (normality) is nothing less than disgusting and shaming. I’d never recommended B.S. to anyone. That’s all you get with him...bs...
