Thank you for Saving My Life!
The results of my MRI were coming over the fax machine (while I was waiting at my Chiropractor's office) in the form of handwritten notes as Dr. Broderick was driving (in his car) between hospitals.
My Chiropractor was delivering the news of a "spot on my brain" while calling Dr. Broderick's office. Dr. Broderick's nurse called him in his car and explained what she knew. Meanwhile, I was sent to the ER at OSF Rockford. I was in a life threatening situation and was none the wiser. Everyone around me was panicking and I was clueless. Two days later, I had a 5 hour brain surgery to remove a tumor the size of a pea and a cyst the size of a lemon near my brain stem. Then 4 days later, I was married. I am home healing with basically no side effects. If it hadn't been for the skill and hard work of the Ortho Illinois team and Dr. Broderick I would not be here today... typing this review. Thank you isn't a big enough word!

Some doctors you have to wait forever before they give you 5 min of their time and others say Okay okay to all you say. Not this doctor! This young physician treats you with utmost respect and is so prompt and professional. One time I was very upset with my injury and didn't believe the interpretation of my x-ray. What did Dr Broderick do? He had the technician send me a confirmation email. Wow...where can you get that kind of service? Knowing my inquisitive nature, this time too he sent me the readings of my x-ray as soon as they were read by the radiology. Young male secretary at the front desk...courteous and so professional. Highly recommend this doctor.

tho his hand shake has become very wobbly since my last visit, I must say Dr Broderick far exceeded my expectation as a PCP this time. due to the continuous pain revolving my recent finger fracture after surgery, I had gone back to see both the plastic surgeon and orthopedic doc. they both told me let's continue to monitor which irritated me because my pain was very intense and bothersome. as an informative patient, I stated my problems but in the end I simply needed referral to a pain specialist. Dr Broderick made sure he addressed all of my problems including making referral for pain, occupational therapy, reason for use of brace given by ortho and new OTC medication to take for chronic pain. what makes him stand out is not so much his listening skills but rather how he reasons with demanding patients like me by providing appropriate medical knowledge.

if you want a doctor who'll listen to your current problems during a fifteen minute appointment time, I would not recommend this doctor. but if you want a top professional doctor who provides the best and I mean best service by way of continuously updating your concerns via email or what have you, Dr Broderick is the one and only I'd recommend. no doctor is a perfectionist. it's how they deliver their service to us that distinguishes them. high remarks for all of the staff members in that office from front desk to nurse, orthopedic specialist Dr Bruno and his radiology tech. they make you feel like you're in a special zone.
