No bedside manner spent a total of seven minutes with me wasted my time and money

Ive been a patient with Dr Katz for over 12 years now. My last visit was the worst and the last! Yes, her bedside manner has always been horrible and Teresa the receptionist is very rude as well. Ive defended her over the years since her knowledge is very thorough and her credentials were high.
This last visit was the worst experience I've ever had at a doctor visit. She refused to examine me, and go over my ultrasound and bloodwork results because my referral was going to be faxed a few hours after my visit. It was my fault that I didnt have it prior but she couldn't wait till the afternoon? Then after explaining to her that it will come, SHE RUDELY SLAMMED THE DOOR IN MY FACE!!!
I have never been treated so rudely and nobody should be treated that way. She obviously wanted to just make sure that she would bill for a visit, which she would have anyway had she been more patient.
Ive always waited at least an hour in the waiting room for a quick 5 minute exam. She deoesnt explain in detail your results and any procedure that has to be done.
She only refers her patients to get the ultrasounds at Englewood Hospital because she is on the board of directors there and gets a kickback.
Also, I was accused of not making a payment because their billing department doesn't communicate with the office. I had to prove that my payment was made.
Shame on you Dr. Katz...hoping all your patients leave you and shuts your practice down.
Enough is enough.

Always will be waiting for at least an hour and a half even with an appointment. Even if you're early you won't be helped. The staff is not helpful and rather incompetent. The doctor will talk down to you as if you don't know what you're doing... Been doing it for 14 years now on my own as a type one diabetic. This doctor will constantly require an office visit so they get the copay and aren't afraid to ask for money but asking for their help filling a prescription is like pulling teeth. After a while I chose not to respond to her and let her know I'm changing doctors and she replied "Good let her deal with you." Mind you I've never been disrespectful to anyone at this office, always said "thank you" and acknowledged them as human beings but they won't treat you with the same courtesy. For anyone looking for a better doctor you can't get any worse then this doctor and the staff. Good luck if you can tolerate the audacity of these people.

I've been a patient for as long as i've been diagnosed 15+ years. I'm finally changing DR's. As i told rude Teresa on the phone today tomorrow will be my last office visit. You are an office visit medical billing charging wheel. There are 4 patients booked for every 15 min timeslot. Enough is enough. I can go on and on...I gave this Dr and her rude staff 15 yrs of chances. I work and pay for my medical coverage i can choose how i will be treated and it will not be like this.

I only saw the negative posts after I saw Dr. Katz and I absolutely disagree with the comments. very happy with Dr.Katz's conservative approach to suggest a change in diet and exercise instead of loading me up with medicine. I also appreciated that she sat with me to take my medical history instead of having me fill out forms. Her explanations were informative and calming. In regards to her personality I also had no problem and I wonder it the other respondents were looking for a friend instead of a competent doctor who tells it like it us. Definitely a good experience.

I have been going to Dr. Katz for years. I cannot believe how many people are writing bad reviews simply based on her bedside manner. Yes, she does not have the best bedside manner, but she is knowledgeable. Would you rather have a terrible doctor that sympathizes and coddles you but is not skilled in what he/she does? As far as her staff goes, Teresa is the best!! She does things on time and accurately. Yes, Dr. Katz has "students" from the "local schools" working for her but all that they do is weigh you and take your blood pressure...who cares! I will agree that her punctuality is bad, but so is every other endocrinologist that I have gone to (some were even worse!). Be prepare to spend a minimum of an hour at the office.

The Russian girl that runs the office is probably a relative of The Soup Nasi. She is culturally challenged. The doctor does not respect appointments. I have never waited less than 90 minutes for the doctor. Apparently her time is more important than mine. After 6 appointments where she was late, I finally fired her and decided to go elsewhere. I assume that her competence is adequate but she cannot run a business. I get a kick out of the cheap labor that she employs to work with the Soup Nasi's relative. they are all "interns" from the local ripoff "career schools" in the area. That spoke volumes to me. Bye, Bye, Dr, Katz.

If you got to this fraud you don't need your thyroid examined - you need you head examined - the only degree she has is in Medical Billing - complete inept fraud - the only thing that will be accomplished is her Mercedes payment being made - an absolute disgrace is what she is

First of all, you have to wait over an hour, sometimes 90 minutes. I don't understand why because when you are actually in the room with her, she only spends about 5 minutes with you and most of the time she has her nose in her computer and does not even look at you. She is extremely rude and obnoxious. I like having a doctor who tells it like it is, but you also can't stand there and call a patient a liar when they are telling you how difficult it is to lose weight. No concerns about your actual health - just weight loss. All she wants you to do is follow the South Beach diet. That's it. For that, I'll just buy the damn book and do it myself. My mother also went to her for her diabetes and got the same treatment. She only cared about how much weight my mother loss, not her sugar. I was so disappointed by this woman and hope people read this before subjecting themselves to this bully.
