Dr. Kopac was regularly following the progress of my abdominal aneurysm for a couple of years until he determined that it would be preferrable and safe to proceed with surgery which also required a bifemoral bypass. He always kept me well informed along the way and was there very early every morning following my surgery while I was in the hospital to see how I was doing. This good care and follow up continued after I left the hospital until now. He always takes time to answer questions, I found him to be very thorough and very competent.

This guy is arrogant. We chose to go to a specialist for colon resection as he is not one, and listed all these dangers that may arise when the colorectal surgeon said no not a risk at all. When we switched surgeons he was not happy, and had our GP call us to try and convince us to go back to him for surgery! Like what? You need patients that bad. Wouldn't go to him. That's just wrong. But he did do a good job on a colonoscopy finding the cancer, so I'll give you a 3 stars for that.

Do not understand how this man is the head of surgery at Richmond General. He’s abrupt, arrogant, and argumentative. Thankfully he backed out of my surgery 3 days prior otherwise I probably would have died on the operating table! His vascular knowledge and abilities are very limited. Thank god I was redirected to one of the top vascular surgeons in BC!!

Dear Dr. Kopac
On August 9th I was one of your patient for a "Pace Maker"
I need to talk to you about it
I feel I have been intimidated and forced into having it, I will explain.
During your visit in hospital before the surgery you said
Are you sure you need it ?
Leaving you said you can cancel any time
Well I did not and I realize talking to other Doctors that it was not necessary
I seriously need to talk with you for the removal.
Since I am back home I am very depressed, because of the restrictions imposed
I used to travel a lots, all over the world, play tennis exercise ,now I feel like an old man stuck at home.
Please may I talk to you in your office
Thank you very much

I needed a pace maker in a hurry and Dr Kopak came to my rescue. I am still alive so guess it is working well. No problem. Staff at hospital and in office very efficient. Mine was an emergency situation so did not get to know Dr or staff prior to surgery.
