I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in March 2011. Dr. Walter Blahey initiated my treatment and continues to monitor. I was handed off the the stem cell transplant team for that procedure then back to Dr. Blahey.
This doctor is known to be somewhat curt, and not have much bedside manner. For me however, we are a perfect fit. He tells it like it is, does not beat around the bush and does not waste time. He appreciates patients who engage in thoughtful conversation around their treatment. I am feeling great 3.5 years later!!
