My husband went to see her yesterday. It was the worst psychiatrist visit he has ever had. She took him off of some of his prescribed meds cold turkey (one of which has severe withdrawals), refused to sign any of his back to work release forms, she claimed “she does not fill out paperwork” and she was rude to him the entire time. She showed no interest in why he was there, (he’s grieving the loss of his mother), showed no empathy, and left him feeling worse than when he went in. He has been in mental distress for months now and really needed help, and she made everything worse. Now because of her not filling out paperwork, he can’t return to work to help provide for our growing family of 3. If you are really struggling with your mental health, I beg you, do NOT go to Dr. Ary.

Dr. Ary should be reported to the Alabama Board Of Examiners, all she cares about is getting a paycheck. I went to the Meadow Brook office. She would only see me to refill my prescription and setup another appointment for me to come back to see her in three months, she would never talk with me about my mental illness and never showed any compassion towards me. I would be in her office less than 10 minutes. That is not enough time to help me with my problems and issues that I’m dealing with. She is the worst psychiatrist that I ever seen in my life, she put words in my mouth that I didn’t even say in her notes. Dr. Ary has no compassion for everyone, she’s rude and disrespectful and the staff as well. Please avoid her at all cost if you want to have some self esteem and to love yourself, you will not get it from her. All she cares about is herself and getting paid, she doesn’t need to be in the medical field at all. Every single person that had or having issues with her, I feel your pain and know that there are some really good psychiatrist out there.

Extremely rude and impatient. Doesn’t want to listen to history. No bedside manners at all. Comes in at 5:30 am to talk about mental health when you aren’t even conscious from waking up yet. Doesn’t explain anything to you. Talks down to you. If I could use the “B” word on here I would. Even the staff here have said they here that a lot. Not good for a psych doc. They should have more patience and understanding, not less. If you can avoid her, I would. I’ve seen my share of psych docs and she is by far the absolute worst!

She didn’t read or listen to my history, just wanted to throw a pill at the problem within less than 3 minutes of consultation. She was very rude, commanding and showed zero empathy or concern.

Disgusting human being. Arrogant, condescending, without a sliver of compassion. Had a family member that saw her who left worse than she came in. She doesn’t care about your health, just wants a paycheck. 0 stars.

This doctor has no empathy. She does not answer questions or did she even provide me with my diagnosis. She is in it for the money. Never asked me about my story just these same archaic questions. Put me on a medicine in the hospital and was supposed to send in prescription for it after discharge. I have been so much worse after her care. AVOID HER at costs of you care about your mental health. I am so much worse after all the neglect and abuse I suffered from her and the staff at St. Vincent’s Ascension. If I could give a negative miner review I would.

My entire initial appointment lasted 14 minutes. She asked a bunch of standard questions, upped my current medicine and ended the call. I never got a chance to actually TALK about my anxiety. This “appointment” was actually so ridiculous it is almost funny. Told me to follow up in 7 weeks. No thank you, I will not be doing that!

Terrible at keeping scheduled appointments, and just an overall disregard for the actual patient. You will feel like you are just a number, and it’s disgusting that someone in the mental health profession openly acts in that way. Very rude, and honestly if I was in bad mental state on the days I talked to her, it made it significantly worse.
