Dr. Mufarnij was referred to me by a highly respected physician in NYC after Sloan Kettering surgeon informed me I needed to have a procedure while in DC. Dr M immediately recognized that it was best for me to be in a hospital setting. My entire experience was top shelf....on time,patient, diagnose, explain, managed pre-surgery testing, was at my bedside before I went to sleep and when I woke up, contacted my health care Doctor in NYC. I came to GWU for a planned surgery to have a significant amount of kidney stones removed out of both kidneys. Due to my beliefs Dr. Mufarrij agreed to do a bloodless surgery. The surgery was done in 2 phases. The first was done on a Friday and lasted 6 hours. The second was the following Tuesday and lasted around 6 hours as well. At the end of the surgery the family was informed that they encountered bleeding. Dr. Mufarrij and his team moved quickly to find and control the bleeding. Although I had to be monitored in the ICU for a few days while my blood count went up, I was then moved to a regular room. Dr. Mufarrij communicated everything to my family every step of the way during the surgery. He was kind, considerate and caring to me and the entire family. During the surgery and recovery period he felt like part of the family. His bedside manner is second to none. To say I would recommended him would be an understatement. M.B.

Dr. Mufarrij was personable and knew what he was talking about. He even walked me to the pharmacist down the hall to clarify a prescription. Would highly recommend.
