Waited over an hour - I felt like I was rushed and had to ask too many questions that he should have explained. Don't waste your time....go somewhere else.

I have been seeing Dr Woolrich for several years and never found him to be abrupt as some have said. He is knowledgeable and I have found him to be friendly and personable. He has taken care of my problems with minimum pain. Yes, I have to wait 30 minutes to an hour sometimes, but that is normal for most doctors...

I have been seeing Dr. Woolrich for 15 years now. My first appt with him was because of an acne problem, he advised me to stop using my hair products for a few weeks, he put me on an oral prescription, as well as a topical cream & 3-4 weeks later the acne disappeared. I now see him on an as needed basis. Most recently I had a severe breakout, he immediately identified the problem, placed me on a new prescription & told me to come back in 4 wks. Four wks later I returned with little improvement, he told me to continue the prescription & come back in another 4 wks. Eight wks later what an improvement and 4 wks after that it looked as if acne never existed. Although I have waited a few times for 30-60 minutes (he is worth the wait), I learned my lesson & now only see him as his 1st patient or his last. And for those who say he is not personable, I totally disagree. Every time I see him we talk about anything from the economy to places we have traveled to.

Dr. Woolrich makes me wait an awfully long time. I've been seeing him for the past 6 months and everytime I go there, it is an average of 30-45 minutes wait just to get to the treatment rooms. And from there, even if you are next to be seen, he would sometimes make me wait an additional 20-30 minutes before seeing me. He would seem to retreat to his office while you wait there not knowing what is going on. He would then show up as if the wait was no big deal.

I didn't have to wait, like others have described, but I thought his practices were weird, if not unethical. I had 2 problems, and he told me he would only deal with 1 problem per visit. I had to decide which problem needed attention, and come back for the other. This is an obvious attempt to extract more money from patients/insurance co.'s, but for me the issue is I don't have a lot of free time to see doctors. I wanted some benign keratoses removed, and he told me those were not covered. That's fine and well understood, but then he told he only takes cash for those, which immediately led me to believe he is not reporting these uninsured items as income. I had to go to the ATM and withdraw $200 to pay him. He knows what he is doing...I had no scarring afterwards and it was a good outcome, but he is creepy and I won't go back. Also, when my g/f went to him and complained about a skin condition she had, he said, "Welcome to my world." He has all the personality of a loaf of bread.

AVOID this Doctor if you value your skin. He scarred me and was indifferent to my pain. It took 3 months to heal. He is the worst dermatologist I have ever been to.

I do not recommend Dr. Woolrich. He's always behind schedule by at least 60 minutes and when he actually gets around to seeing you he's abrupt and dismissive. He has a condescending tone and seems to get annoyed if you ask him questions. He acts as if he's the only dermatologist on the UES.

Dr. Woolrich's waits are always minimum 1 hour. He never apologizes for this. When I saw him last he was not only extraordinarily rude and discourteous, he claimed that I was going to "sue his ass," which I had zero intention of doing. He also misdiagnosed my problem, which was corrected by the next dermatologist I saw. Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor.

the wait is unconscionable. I had seen him once for a staph infection, he said it was a good thing I had come in and the treatment he provided was good. Unfortunately a couple months later I contracted another infection, it was a Friday and when I called I was informed that he could not see me. I told the nurse that were this not treated I would have no choice but to go to the ER, so could he at least phone in some antibiotics. She said he never prescribes medication over the phone. I asked what I should do and she informed me she had no idea, maybe i should find another dermatologist. That's just what I did.
