Dr, Michener has been my and ny daughter’s psychiatrist for more than ten years. He is an incredibly kind and caring person. When I was going through a nervous breakdown, after which I spent a month in the hospital, he called me several times. He was concerned about my state of mind, and was always positive and encouraging. I have to agree with others that he needs a new secretary who isn’t angry and surly. No matter how nice you are to her she never responds .
But, I would recommend just ignoring her, because it’s her problem. I would highly recommend Dr. Michener to anyone. He has helped me a great deal.

I like the Doctor, very personable and concerned. Listened to my concerns and thats hard to find. However, the reason they only received 3 stars was because of the receptionist, not sure if she's the office manager but very rude over the phone and in person. She has made me so turned off to this office. Too bad I will be going back to see the doctor and will have to deal with her.

My son and I have both been patients of Dr. Michener and has been terrific for the whole family. He is sometimes late calling but I know that's because he spends the necessary amount of time with his patients, so he runs over from one appointment to the next. The thoughtful strategies he provides for my son for home and school have been so useful for parents and teachers.

His office is dark, gloomy, depressing. His staff, rude. He drops patients without just cause. He is NOT punctual. Getting appts can take weeks, refills, even longer. He charges full refill costs for only a 30 day RX, instead of 3 months of RX, even though he can legally give up to 12 months of refills at a time. He hides behind his staff & refuses to return calls. He takes no time for patients in his personal time. He takes weeks to return even urgent messages, & then, only through his staff. He doesn't contact patients directly. I have dealt with this 'doctor' who doesn't live up to his title for several years now. My experiences have been nightmares. I don't recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Michener has been my psychiatrist since 2002. He is very accommodating. When I am not able to make it to his office we have phone sessions. Anytime I need to get into contact with Dr. Michener between appointments, he always makes time to call me even on his personal time. I trust him completely. He is very dedicated to his patients.

I've been a patient of Dr. Michener's for around four years. I've noticed his recent care seems to be slipping a bit. I've had a very hard time getting in to see him lately, and has also cancelled twice leaving me with only one full appointment in the last four months and I still have to wait another three weeks before my next fifteen minute appointment. He's started rushing me out the door, and even cut me off mid-sentence when I still had ten minutes left for my appointment. We also went through a rather large medication mix up, and while not expecting an apology, I wasn't expecting to be treated rather gruffly after I'd followed his directions exactly. First few years with him were no problem. However, in the last year I've begun to feel like just one of many patients and like he's stopped caring about my care. Just collected the co-pay and squeezes as many patients into a day as he can.

I really like Dr. Michener. He's quite patient and easy to talk with. I always feel as though he genuinely cares about how I'm doing and seems interested in really working with me.
