I was told that my son had vidiago by some other derm. but when I went back for a follow-up another doctor from the group said he didnt think he had that. Also his regular doctor sent me back to check out a mark on his face. I set up another appointment to find out she had no idea what is was!! Thats when I found Dr. Urman and all the reveiws he had. I set up an appointment told the nurse what was going on just before doctor was to came in. When Dr. Urman came in he looked at my son and said "no way your son does NOT have vidilago" and the spot on his face is just from the sun. I was soooo happy you could tell he was very certain and knowledgeable!!!

About a year ago I broke out with really bad acne, went to see some other dermatologist, it literally got worse. Then out of frustration I began o search online for a decent dermatologist, found Dr Urman, read his reviews from patients (great reviews by the way), and thought to give him a shot. So thankful I did! All of my acne is pretty much gone. It's unbelievable! Besides being knowledgeable, Dr Urman is thoughtful & empathetic. He was mindful of the fact that I was paying out of pocket and tried to prescribe medication that was effective and inexpensive. The staff were also very helpful and cheerful. I highly recommend Dr Urman & team (Academic Dermatology). Bless You!

I was patient of Dr. Urman in Brooklyn and I was very sad when he moved to New Jersey. I drive 40 miles to see him and to bring my family. He is always thorough, kind and I highly recommend to everyone. One of my best experiences!

Dr. Urman is a nice doctor, but I felt really rushed when he saw me. All I received was prescription after prescription, and he just couldn't wait to finish. I spent no more than 7 minutes with him. And I saved the best for last...this doctor's staff is among the most unprofessional, rude, obnoxious, and most juvenile I have ever encountered in a doctor's office. One receptionist in particular, took my insurance card and threw it at me, after I got upset because initially, they did not want to see me because of my card being expired. This woman told me that she was "helping" me by asking me to pay the consultation upfront ($150) and THEN deal with my insurance! Instead of finding a way to assist me so that I would not have to miss my appointment, on a Sunday, by the way, she gave me an attitude as if she was paying for my appt. If I had an employee treating my new patients like that I would fire her on the spot. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR SKINCARE NEEDS.

Dr. Urman is absolutely amazing! I have had skin problems for roughly 10 years. I visited a lot of doctors, diligently followed their instructions but unfortunately, I did not notice much improvement until I came to Dr. Urman. His knowledge and honest desire to help was evident from the very first visit. His treatment did magic for me. I am actually happy when I look in the mirror. Thank you Dr. Urman! You are the best!!!

Great Parking & Great front desk staff Clean waiting & exam rooms elevator or stair access Doctor Urman is always promptly in the exam room within minutes of the staff bringing me in He is extremely knowledgeable answering any questions I may have about my skin issues. I have also brought my 70 year old mother to his office & was very comfortable getting her issue resolved. Would not change my Dermatologist - Laura Willis (current patient)

A few months ago I developed a rash on my thigh that didn't look like anything to worry about initially. As time went on it started to get progressively worse. Based on a friends referral I went to see Dr Urman who diagnosed it as a potentially dangerous staph infection. Luckily he was able to catch it before it became a major issue and successfully treat it. The service in the office was excellent as well with very little waiting time and a courteous staff. All in all I found no complaints and will definitely be returning if the need arises.

Not impressed at all. The front desk staff was rude and clueless. The girl who led me to Dr. Urman's exam room actually laughed after she asked what I was there for, and I repled "acne". The doctor diagnosed me as having "hormonal acne". Nice. I know that already, so help me get rid of it. Oh, and the office charges a fee if you use a credit/debit card! Seriously? Is this a doctor's office or a bodega? Go elsewhere for your skincare needs.

My daughter was breaking out with some kind of rash on her legs and stomach, after being treated by another dermatologist, with a wrong diagnosis we found Dr. Urman. He biopsied the rash and we found out that it was the new birth controll pill, she was put on. Dr. Urman is brilliant, and the best dermotologist I've ever met. I very highly recommend him, and the fact that he is open on Saturday and Sundays, that is what you called being dedicated.

I wanted to reduce the look of these spidery veins I developed after my pregnancies. Even though a was a little afraid to get them injected , I decided to give it a try. The staff was friendly and made me feel at ease. Dr. Urman explained everything to me and exactly what to expect. It was over quickly and well worth the results. I am glad I had it done there.
