Biography
Dr Vishnu Sivakumar graduated from Anglican Church Grammar High School in Brisbane in 2003. Upon graduation he accepted an offer from Griffith University, where he graduated from in 2008 with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma in Dentistry. Dr Vishnu Sivakumar has been practicing dentistry since completing his tertiary studies in 2008, with his first foray into dentistry working at a private practice in Lismore servicing patients living in rural New South Wales. This period allowed him to master all aspects of dentistry focusing on wisdom teeth extractions. In 2009 Dr Vishnu Sivakumar was offered a position at a private practice in Manly, enabling him to bring his skill and experience to the Brisbane community. During this time Dr Vishnu Sivakumar worked in close contact of dentists who have been in the industry for over 30 years, performing best practice dentistry. Vishnu’s drive and passion to deliver exceptional dental care to the South Brisbane community led to the formation of Southside Dental Group (formerly Southside Family Dental). As Principal Dentist and owner of Southside Dental Group, Vishnu has over 10 years experience in practicing dentistry and has built a team of professional dentists, nurses and reception staff at both locations. It is common knowledge with his patients and the community, that Vishnu’s unique caring and trusting chair-side manner ensures that all of his patients feel at ease. Professionalism second to none, combined with a relaxed sense of humour and uncompromising excellence in dentistry are the elements that set Dr Vishnu Sivakumar apart. Outside of work, Vishnu’s commitment to his profession and furthering his education is displayed through his attendance at numerous continuing education dental courses and conferences within Australia, enabling him to remain at the forefront of modern dental philosophies and techniques. With a special interest in Orthodontics, Vishnu has completed the following courses: Excellence in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics (EODO) (In Progress) Relative Analgesia Course – Australian Society of Dental Anaesthesiology (Refresher Course November 2017) Progressive Orthodontics Course – 2 Years Invisalign Training Course – Invisalign Australia Vishnu maintains active memberships in the: Australian Dental Association Dr Vishnu Sivakumar works at both practices (Richlands and Springfield), if you would like to see him specifically please advise our receptionist when you call.

I am not a big fan of going to any dentist but the team here are so reassuring from the moment you walk in. I always feel looked after with relaxing tea available and a calming, thoughtful atmosphere. My children have all had great experiences with their checkups and their follow up after service is wonderful and genuine. Very happy to recommend.
