came to Dr Dan Robinson seeking help with breathing through my nose due to my cleft palate. I advised him I had had previous surgeries to my nose, the latest being two years prior. This surgery was a cosmetic procedure and I didn’t want the look changed, I was unhappy with one aspect of the shape but wasn’t willing to ruin the look altogether with another surgery. I was advised by Dr Robinson that the look of the nose would not change and I would be able to breathe a lot better.

Unfortunately, all outcomes from this surgery have been a complete failure. I have been left with one overly large nostril that drips with no feeling in it at all and one tiny nostril that I can’t breathe out of (worse than prior to surgery) it is so small in fact that I can’t even clear any build up when I have a cold or flu as it won’t fit a pinky. A big bulb on the end of my nose that’s is uneven. This has had a huge impact on my confidence as it has completely changed the shape and look of my face. After 30+ years trying to not look like I have a cleft by surgeries and procedures I’m back to square one. Although when I told him I was unhappy he replied with I think it looks better.

I was advised by Dr Robinson in hospital the day after my surgery that my nose was an internal mess and he would not enter it again due to potential collapse so any option of rectification was off the table in the first 24 hours. Basically, hey your nose was harder than I thought and I’ve done what I can but I won’t be going back in. I then had to be admitted two weeks post op and put on antibiotics for an infection. I’ve spoken to numerous surgeons here and internationally about fixing this and am waiting to hear back as to if it is even possible. If I am left with this botched nose I will be doing everything in my power to ensure it doesn’t happen to anyone else. STAY CLEAR

Long wait list! Then don't answer phonecalls or reply to messages when trying to establish when the appointment was actually booked for!
My partner's gp was concerned about a potential cancer inside the nose to which Dr robinson has told my partner to "come back" if the problem flares up again. Over $200 for a 5 minute appointment. No proper assessment and my partner is left still not knowing what's going on for him.

I had a similar expense a few years ago with the same doctor (didn't want to taint my partner's experience though, so didn't tell him I'd been to see this doctor previously). I personally found him dismissive and punitive in his demeanour. After keeping me waiting for over an hour, he spent less than 3 minutes with me before sending me out to pay for a full fee appt.

Wouldn't recommend his services.

Dr Robinson is an incredible surgeon who is extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. After injuring my nose in sport when l was younger l was left with a deviated septum where my nose looked crooked, l had a constant nasal drip and difficulty breathing. Post surgery l am very happy with the results, no nasal drip, a straight nose with no hooked appearance and can now breath freely through both sides. When l asked for recommendations Dr Robinson was recommended highly by ENT nursing and medical staff and l am very happy l went with Dan.

My 17 year old son had a very badly deviated septum with his left nostril completely blocked. Dr Dan Robinson of ENT Clinics Benowa, QLD performed nose reconstruction surgery which was 100% successful. Dr Dan was very informative from the initial consultation and advised that the surgery should be considered urgent. Within 2 months my sons noes operation was complete and was all but completely healed with 6 to 8 weeks. I highly recommend Dr Dan who is very professional, honest with clear communication and my son is completely satisfied with the results having improved his breathing whilst providing additional confidence due to the cosmetic adjustments. Thanks Dr Dan!!! Highly Recommended.

I had a nose reconstruction done by Dr Robinson in 2020 and a blepharoplasty done in 2021. Each of these operations was successful, and in 2023 I am still happy with the results.
The first operation was life-changing for me in that I can now breathe and sleep easily, and I no longer snore or gasp loudly for air in my sleep, nor walk around with my mouth half-open to breathe. While the new nose is wider than it was before and the tip is higher (each to allow the easy flow of air as per the laws of physics), the reconstructed nose is nonetheless, attractive in appearance.
The blepharoplasty, a purely cosmetic procedure, was also well done. I no longer look tired and can easily insert contact lenses. I did not have to wait months to have this second procedure done by Dr Robinson.
Overall, I found him to be friendly, easy to talk to, ethical and straight-talking, and in my opinion brilliant in his fields of ENT and face surgery. He responded well to all my questions, and I have no complaints.

Had my nose done a few years ago now. The first year of getting it done I LOVED IT but then I noticed changes..... droopy tip and hump on one side of nose. When I voiced my concerns I was shooed out the door. Now, I hate smiling in photos as my nose droops so much.

Seriously
Dan Rabinson, I terribly regretted trusting you!!!

Two weeks after the operation, I got nassl infection and went to Pindara hospital. Dan discharged me from the hospital in a horrible way. Now I have been taking antibiotics pills for 4 weeks, My exhalation smells bad and my tonsils are swollen.

Dan Robinson
You've ruined my nose, it's totally visible underneath from skin, Carelessness and lack of art. You say that the goal of better breathing but( was not only that ), this cannot cause so many problems in the appearance .
Anyway your operation did not change much in breathing also snoring and sleep apnea is same as before ?!

you've put the bones at a bad angle, bad shape
The nasal septum is deviated to the left , What is the bump under the skin on the left side? The holes are neither the same size nor the same shape , When I look from above, the nose is on the left, but it has a sharp tip on the right , The nose is not smooth at all because the cartilage below are placed unevenly.

you got professional fee regarding Rhinoplasty, total, including correction of all bony an Nasal septum, reconstruction, Turbinates, submucous resection of, unilateral (Anaes.) Nasendoscopy or sinoscopy or fibreoptic , you done non of them

The stitches show that it was done by a novice, you don't care about the patient, at least don't hurt your fame.

Finding the right surgeon can be daunting, that’s why I’m leaving this review. I am extremely fussy and did not want to settle for sub standard, especially when it comes to my face and a decision I’ll have to live with for the rest of my life.

Having being a patient of Dr Robinson’s for the past 12 months since my big decision, I can confidently say without any reservation that I’m grateful to have had the best nose surgeon in the industry. Not only did he achieve an incredible result, but I had an excellent experience from beginning to end! Dr Robinson is very kind and understanding, he put me at ease by explaining the whole process and made sure that I was able to ask any questions before actually going ahead with the procedure.

The surgery went exceptionally well with minimal recovery time, no hidden surprises and most importantly no regrets. I am thankful for his unmatched skills and meticulous approach to his work. I no longer feel self conscious about my profile and my quality of life and confidence has improved dramatically. From my personal experience, I would highly recommend Dr Robinson and his team. Thank you for your awesome service and follow up.
