This is Anna Lisa Young and I have been a patient of Dr. Work's for years and he is awesome. Just remember when you read bad posts on here that some people are wicked and vindictive. I wouldn't doubt if other Doctors get on here and write stuff. I say, unless you leave your full name, you don't have a right to leave a comment. Dr. Work takes more time to discuss your situation than any other doctor I have seen. He truly cares and never rushes you out of the office. Most of my visitis lasted up to 45 minutes. DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR. I actually owe him money and they have not been hounding me. They have a great staff and a great location. You have to give a doctor a chance before making a decision on some comments!!!

Dr. Work is very good. He doesn't deliver all he claims he can in his marketing brochures because I do usually have to wait in the lobby for 30 to 45 minutes. But he does not hesitate to prescribe the pain meds that I desperately need and he takes the time to explain EVERYTHING in detail. His staff is a little bit slow but they make up for it in being genuinely caring. I think all doctors should work the way Dr. Work works but they don't and that is why Dr. Work can charge extra.

Dr Work, is not going to have you in, and out! In fact, grab some tea in the waiting room, because he will spend from 25-35 min with you EACH VISIT!! how many drs do u see that spends more than even 5min? Bedside manners are awsome, he is a great human, and DR. He explains, answers all questions, and of all the doctors I've been to, I rate Dr Work way higher than anyone in the medicle field. Great appt, times, if you want to see a dr fir your problems, see DR Work, it's well worth it! I drive 4hours one WAY to see him! His experipnce is well higher than your aveage MD, and don't plan on this "5-10 min office visit that you may be use to" gental human as well as proff MD!

I got the feeling, but was never sure, that Dr. Work was not always acting in my best interest. I felt like he was prescribing medications that I didn't need, but might line his pockets by selling them to me. By reading the previous letters that detail Dr. Works focus on money, I can see that my intuition was correct. I am glad I stopped seeing him years ago.

In Fresno,Dr. Work is one doctor who will do anything he can to treat chronic pain.Regarding his "bed side manner",he is a huge let down. During my last appointment (6/26),he called me a drama queen for no reason at all.I have never acted in any such behavior around him.He then when on to trash the specialist I am seeing in San Fran for late-stage lyme disease. He then went on to tell me he never did nor does think i have lyme, despite my bay area DR who CONFIRMED my lyme disease. So, he told me he won't treat me at all for lyme. This isn't a single occurrence. Dr. Work told my mother (also a patient) that the psychiatrist she saw was an idiot, and went so far to call the other dr and have a heated verbal argument. He has a massive ego on his own, always thinking all other doctors' treatments are incorrect. The only thing I can figure is that Dr Work believes he always correct, and everyone else is wrong. Basically, if you need very strong pain meds he is great;for anything else- don't go.

Dr. Work is an amazing doctor. I have systemic lupus among other problems and he is one of the few that even tried to help me. Unfortunately, Dr Work is being called nasty names because he changed his practice to a concierge practice. Instead of blaming a man for trying to support his family, those people need to complain to their insurance company. No one can expect a doctor to work for pennies when he has to pay his office staff and office overhead PLUS support his family. I've always found the office staff to be wonderful, caring people, always willing to help. I highly recommend Dr Work if you can't get any other doctor (specialist included) to listen to you much less to try and help you. Dr Work is the best.

I ditto the previos two entries. Dr. Work started out as someone who had great potential to be a great Doctor that could have, and did, help many people who were hurting until money became a bigger issue and caused him to loose focus of his calling. It is a shame for sure!!

Once a great doctor...but greed has overcome his compassion, and now he's out for money and has forgotten what it means to be a caring doctor. If he can find a better way to make money, he'll screw anyone. Use caution with William Work. He can't be trusted.

He needs to get to know his patients to further understand their needs. His staff is very self absorbed and doesn't get the appt.'s,refill call-ins,etc. He needs to treat each patient as individuals, not text book protocal. No one is the SAME, and every body is different and should be treated as such, instead of a number or a body for him to get rich off of.
