Work prescribed synthetic heroine, OxyContin, AND a prescription of norco (“for break through pain”) based on a 45 minute verbal intake. No tests, no imaging. A pretty steep dosing of opioids for anyone. Told me he was going to “give my children back their mom, my husband back his wife and me back my life… if that’s not a God complex. Someone with this sort of careless practicing habits is NOT helping anyone but himself. STAY FAR AWAY

Dr Work was my doctor for several years. After other doctors were afraid to help my severe back and neck injuries with opiates, Dr Work said that was the answer until I decided to go ahead with surgery. He kept me on oxycontin and norco for 2 years while monitoring it very close. I never asked for more so he kept me on them until I was strong enough for surgery. So sorry he died. The bar took his license for giving hormones without a testing procedure. He knew what to do. He just defied them a few times and wala, took his license and wanted him to beg to get it back. He would not do that.

I was sad that he is no longer in Fresno. After back surgery I needed strong meds and he worked with me to keep my pain level down. I was able to get myself off these meds in time. Anyone that blames the Dr. is taking the responsibility off themselves!

I visited Dr. Work several years ago. I truly believe he saved my life! Definitely recommend paying him a visit!
In regards to the person that is blaming Dr. Work for all their mother’s problems. I feel that opinion not to be fair. Anytime a person needs to take an opioid for any extended period of time. They will develop a dependency on that medication. That’s just unavoidable. However, there’s a difference between being dependent on a medication and being a person who is looking to get high and abuse their medication. Sounds like you and your mother need to stop blaming a man who is truly trying to help people who really are having pain and are suffering!

Dr. Work is a quack! He was responsible for making my mother an addict to OxyContin. Dr. Work should never work a day as a doctor. He is a liar and a crook. There are doctors like him who have hooked patients on opiate medications, and as patients we have to watchout for this dangerous quacks.

I miss his experience and hard work that is disappearing from the field almost completely. He knew what Concierge Medicine meant and ruled with a iron scope. Don’t let that puppy fool you, he was stern yet listened. It has taken me 4 years to find someone that even comes close to his level of service.

To my deep regret Dr. William Work passed away early in January this year. He planned to start his practices in Russia. He was a good guy.

I am thankful the board finally took away his license. The bad thing is that he is now practicing in Russia.

Most doctors tend to be arrogant introverts anyway but Dr Work takes this to a new level, This is undoubtedly why he has run afoul of the Board
