As a person dr piszel is wonderful. He is caring with a wonderful attitude. As for his office n staff that is a whole different situation. They are rude, they discuss patients issue right there where they can b overheard and they definitely do not relay messages to the dr from the patient. I do not understand either why the girls in the office were allowed to take my narcotics out of the room to do their count. Or why when the dr would change my pain med he would keep whatever was left of my old prescription. I pd for that prescription and by all rights it belongs to me. The girls had access to my pain medication, whose to say they wouldnt take a couple and have me off count. Along with urine tests that are all sat next to each other on a shelf. As for the ppl leaving negative comments that they must have issues, couldn't b further from the truth. I have negative comments, but that doesn't make me a druggie looking for pills.

Dr. Piszel, or Bruce as I have known him for last 25 years, is one of the kindest people I have ever known. I have no doubt he cares for each patient as a person first and a patient second. I have not been his patient as I have never lived where he practices but would choose him as my doctor because he is an upstanding person and a compassionate human being. He worked very hard to get where he is -- I saw his dedication -- he always said all he wanted to do was help people and he spoke from his heart. I do hope people realize pain management is frought with challenges due to the subjective nature of pain and the challenges any doctor whose burden it is to identify a legitimate need for pain medications faces. If a patient posting is negative, consider that those who abuse pain meds are often angry at anyone or anything that gets in the way of them acquiring their pain meds. Be mindful of the perscribing physician's position -- they face dire repercussions if they don't do their assessments properly. Dr. Piszel wants nothing more than to ease your discomfort, however, those who abuse the system make for stringent rules and Dr.Piszel must follow medical protocol. Be mindful of Dr. Piszel's position and I am certain he will move mountains to help you. Remember respect is a two-way street. I am certain Dr. Piszel will treat you first and foremost with respect. That is who he is a person. (Bonnie Piszel - and no, he is not my brother, nor my son.)

Dr. Piszel and his office treated me for several months with great compassion when insurance coverage was available. Today after 6 months of insurance changes due to medicaid/medicare and an insurance that had given wrong information about coverage concerning Dr. Piszel. I did my diligence work and made sure as of January this Dr would be in network for me. He refused to see me....(I had made the mistake of my rhuematologist writing a presciption for pain meds rather than see Dr. Piszel as a self pay). I sat for over an hour was drug tested and put in a room in the back as if nothing was wrong then told he would not see me. He didn't even come to explain made his staff handle it and I was told that I never informed them of the problems. Wrong several conversations with his staff concerning the problems cancellations of appointments and even an appointment as a self pay which was expensive. I should have lived I pain for months according to this treatment today. :(

I have been with the DR. for 10 years. Not only is he one of the smartest guys I know, he is also the nicest. He treats his patients with dignity and has done many things for his community. I can only hope that he never retires because there is no one like him. He is an absolute savior in my life. I have seen people leave there mad but,its because they did not follow the few simple rules of a DR. that has to sometimes prescribe narcotics. He is also a wiz with nerve blocks and other procedures. Your the man Bruce Piszel. I thank God for you every day

Dr Piszel's office is fantastic. I find that the ones who complain are the ones that he probably did not accept for one reason or another or he has discahrged them for their own behavior. He is caring and is always happy!!! I can honestly say that I have never walked into any other doctors office where you could hear the doc laughing while you are checking in. I love how everyone there is always laughing and smiling. I feel so much better when I walk out of there just because I got to experience a happy place for a while. Dr Piszel is so much more than pills. He has done a wonderful job of treating my pain and taking me off the "pills"!! I love him to death. My family loves him to death!! He and his staff are wonderful. I have noticed some turnover there, but I truely believe they have it together and will do what is in their power to help anyone!!!!
