I've been going to the Jeffersonville Medical Associates office for about ten years now. My doctor Dr. Burke retired so I then began seeing Vickie Rigsby. This woman has no idea what she's doing. There is a reason she doesn't have a doctorate. At first she seemed nice enough but after a few months I caught her lying to me and her staff on numerous occasions about things such as Indiana state laws, prescription doses and lying about things she had forgotten to tell me during my office visits causing major problems with my prescriptions. She did not help me with my illnesses the entire time I went to her. All she knows to do is transfer over prescriptions from your previous doctor but after a few months will take them away and tell her staff she already told you about it. I save all of my papers from my medical visists so I knew she was lying when she told her staff we had discussed these changes to my prescriptions. Besides the fact that she is just a terrible nurse practitioner she has outrageous wait times. I always scheduled my appointments for the first of the day because I knew how slow she was but even having the very first appointment of the day I would wait over an hour after my appointment was supposed to begin. It has actually taken her up to five hours to see me and get me out the door. I am not exaggerating.
She never had a treatment plan for me and didn't once try anything my previous doctor hadn't already tried. All the work my previous doctor that retired had done for me she completely destroyed by removing me from the medications that did work. Worse than that would not tell me she was ending a medication. I would go to refill and she would out of no where refuse.
Don't bother talking to the staff they are extremely rude and do not care about you or your health especially nurse assistant Mia and office manager Sherry. I have never been treated so horribly by anyone! Office manager Sherry has stopped me mid sentence and actually told me to shut up and let her talk and Mia has documented things in my file that were never said. Mia has always been rude and I put up with it trying not to talk to her because I just figured she had a miserable life but I am not the only one who thinks this. Many of my family members have gone to this office as well and had the same issues with her. My father, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt stopped going long before I did!
Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time with this miserable excuse for a doctors office! Get a real doctor like I am doing not a nurse practitioner as horrible as Vickie Rigsby and her staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Burke would be ashamed how this office is being ran!

I have been struggling with a pretty severe condition and Vicki was unlike any other practitioner I have ever had. She seemed to genuinely care about my well being and me as a person. She did everything in her power to help give me some relief from my condition and was just all around helpful and so caring. She listened to me about everything regarding last healthcare, fears, how I was feeling. I just love being in her care and would definitely recommend her to anybody.

I was diagnosed with a condition by a different practitioner. Vicki, without asking many questions, seemed to jump to far fetched conclusions which were not helpful.
