Dr Abla completed my spinal fusion in 2013. Ive done everything he asked me to do. 4 yrs later - im fit and in no pain.

Dr Abla is a very clinical and precise physician. That said, he doesn't rush. He took the time to answer every question I had and then made sure I understood exactly what we were going to do. He was on time for every appointment over the 2 yr recover time. While in the hospital - I saw him - not the PA or the Resident. As an engineer, I was quite impressed with his processes, technique and approach to problem solving.

He demands a lot from his staff and Nurses -- they too are precise and proficient. It was awesome to see the team work together.

I unfortunately do have a couple friends with back issues. I recommended all three of them to Dr Abla. They've had similar experiences as me.

I am very pleased with Dr. Abla and the results of my Herniated Disc (C4-C5) surgery I had on July 31, 2014. He was very thorough with the the explanation of the surgery and any potential side effects. Dr. Abla is a doctor who genuinely cares about his patients, and his professional confidence and knowledge is immediately known when he walks into a room. I have the utmost respect for him. Without hesistation I would recommend Dr. Abla to my family and friends. The office personnel was also very friendly, informative and patient with me, especially PA Hope George. and Mrs. Abla. I am very fortunate to have had Dr. Abla and his staff care for me.

I went to see Doctor Abla in December of 2013 after suffering with chronic neck, arm, and shoulder pain for several months. My PPO had prepared me well for the potential diagnosis and he was correct. 20 minutes with Doctor Abla and his easy to understand explanation and I was scheduled for ACDF surgery in January of 2014. Surgery went well and i was back home after a night in the hospital. Follow up by Doctor Abla and his assistant was excellent, I truly felt that i understood everything that was going to happen over the next few months and I was prepared for the PT and limited lifting etc 1 year later I have just had my last visit with Doctor Abla and left with a clean bill of health. I have some minor numbness in my right index finger but this is nothing compared to the pain and numbness I had a year ago. Given that this was my first ever surgery and at the age of 52 I was extremely nervous about it (in fact my first time in hospital) Doctor Abla did everything he could to ensure I was at ease and well prepared for the surgery. He is professional and efficient with his time which I respected as my time is also important. If I had questions I always felt that I could ask them and would get a satisfactory answer. His office staff are wonderful making the follow up visits easy for me. I am glad I picked Doctor Abla and would not hestiate to reccomend him to others.

I have been a patient of Dr. Abla for many years. I can't describe how much respect I have for the decisions he has made over years. When I was younger he helped me avoid a surgery that I didn't need at the time by using physical therapy and pain treatment. He helped me recover and live an active lifestyle for many years. I was recently injured again to the point where I needed surgery. I couldn't walk or stand for any period of time. I had surgery in April of 2013. 5 months later I am swimming and hiking and cleared for regular activity. I cannot thank Dr. Abla enough and would recommend him to any person that has any need for his services. [I've posted this other places, but it's true]

Dr. Abla basically worked a miracle for me. My quality of life was near zero, between the pain and the inability to walk. He performed a surgical discectomy in my cervical spine, removing a disc that had been smashing my spinal cord nearly in half. Dr. Abla told me to expect weeks of in-patient rehab and months or years of physical therapy with no guarantee of ever getting back to normal. But I was up and walking the day after the surgery, and just a few weeks later I am feeling better than I have in years. I have my life back thanks to the expert work of Dr. Abla.

Failed back surgery; June 2,2011 L5 S1 All symptoms are back he was was supposed to fix. Microdiscetomy - Don't get it done.

Great Doctor!! I had a micro diskectomy on L5-S-17 years ago and I was walking the same night of the surgery. I was to work in 3 weeks. Now 7 years later and my back is bad again (degenrative disk with bone spurs)I'm going back to him. I would trust him with my life.
