Dr Luckensmeyer was my OB for all 2 pregnancies and now the 3rd...and I wouldn't have it any other way. Very supportive through each pregnancy, provided reassurance and explanations to all my queries. Her office is welcoming and staff always follow through with requests.

We visited Dr Luckensmeyer for help with fertility. The first consultation lasted half hour and it mainly just her getting information from us and asked us to do a few tests. The initial consultation cost us $250. The second appointment was running late for almost half hour, and the receptionist just kept us waiting without even a simple apology.

We felt the second one was really in a rush, and she only told us our test results without proper explanations. We were very unhappy with her bedside manner and she concluded immediately during the second appointment that IVF would likely be our only option.

My partner and I are still at a young age. We did some reading about the issues found by the tests and it showed they could potentially be fixed by improved diet and lifestyle, however she didn’t really discuss these as options at all. She failed to explain the causes of the issue. After 20 minutes, she walked us away and left us confused and shocked.

She told us directly that she didn’t think we can get pregnant naturally without any significant assistances. We are not sure if she could realize it’s very shocking for a young couple to hear this bad news without any preparations. We could tell she didn’t read our results before she had this consultation with us and organized her words more nicely. This short 2nd appointment cost us another $200.

We will walk away as we don’t want to spend money with someone who doesn’t have enough time with us. We believe everyone who comes to ask for fertility help must have gone through lots of disappointments and frustrations. We need someone who can calm us down and give up professional and compassionate advice as well as an understanding of our options that don’t involve IVF. What she has done to us is just quickly shutting down all the other possible ways and rushed into IVF even without considering our situations throughly.

We are writing down this comment because we don’t want other couples who experience the same stress will experience another bad time with her again.

Dr Melissa did 4 rounds of IVF with me, always supporting my choices and giving me factual information. She helped me achieve pregnancy and managed it all, then delivered my little boy. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She is a brilliant doctor, so thorough, kind & caring. I would recommend her to anyone!

Luckensmeyer left me in recovery with no outcome. Nurses had to call her clinic. Devastating. Appalling. Heartbreaking.

Melissa is lovely, however if your fertility issues are complicated she may not be the doctor for you. Her knowledge was unfortunately not great enough to get to the cause of my fertility issues. Had my issues been straightforward I've no doubt she would have been wonderful.

Dr Melissa is absolutely incredible. My husband works as a Dr in the Children’s Hospital and after asking around to his colleagues for a OB recommendation, the overwhelming general consensus was that Melissa was the go to OB in Brisbane and the best in the business - she was spoken so highly of by so many of the Drs at the Children’s hospital - we went ahead and booked in.

I can’t speak highly enough of her work, attention to detail and professionalism. We have a beautiful little baby girl thanks to her care and time, and we couldn’t be more impressed with how it all went. She went above and beyond. Cannot highly recommend enough.

Melissa was an amazing doctor and took care of me for two of my pregnancies. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I had two complicated births and different conditions that Melissa kept me and my two boys safe and healthy through.
