One of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. I would never see or recommend him ever again!

Would NOT recommend. Arrogant and not helpful. Prescribed me a hard contact lens for my condition (keretaconus) to which he swore would work as a solution. $400 later…the hard contact lens failed. Two years later I came in for an annual exam and had to literally beg him for a referral to a surgeon I saw 12 years ago that tried to alleviate my condition. His response was repeated numerous times “well he’s probably not going to do anything because you’re not severe enough”. I saw the surgeon, sat down in his exam room seat and was told “you’re on the surgical waitlist for a new cornea as we’ve exhausted every other option to treat this”. I won’t be returning to Dr. Limber and wouldn’t recommend him to others.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Limber for about 12 years, and up until recently, have been happy with him. But lately we have found him to be rather grumpy, preoccupied and even a little short with us. We both feel that he was that way with both of us, especially at our last appointment a few months ago.

Dr. Limber has been a great optometrist for me for 15 years and has referred me on when needed. He's caring, although rather quiet, and I have faith in his judgement and diagnosis/prescription decisions. I would recommend him to others.

I was in to see this man a couple of years ago...I had been in to see him previously. I was about 50 years old at the time. I had had laser eye surgery a few years prior, which he gave me significant grief for, as I had not consulted his highness beforehand. I have a visual field loss, in that I did not respond to any of the cues in that test...which has happened before. His response was that "you are just not good at that test". Are you kidding me? Ask my son why I cannot see the ball when we are playing driveway hockey... Anyhow,I will be seeking a real doctor with some form of compassion, medical knowledge, and caring as I move forward. Not good at that test...Seriously!

I was last with Dr Limber over a decade ago. Today he seemed a little grumpy. He was doing that crazy "lens 1 or 2" procedure. I was trying to explain that both were blurry and the letters seemed to be abstract and at different depths and even at one point they were double. He kind of snapped and was upset because I was just suppose to say which was clearer. I was a little surprised as I just had eye surgery in the past year and thought I should say what was going on with my eye. Needless to say, this may be my last visit.

Dr. Limber has been our family optometrist for almost twenty years. He has been able to build a trusting relationship with our mentally challenged adult to a point that any appointments are done by this individual alone without requiring support of any kind. Dr. Limber has always provided us with top level professional service and I would not consider going to any other person for our eye care needs. I would have no problem recommending him and his excellent staff of professionals to anyone. He has always gone beyond normal requirements to meet any of our eye care needs, including follow up phone calls and referrals to specialists when needed. I could not recommend him more highly for anyone seeking an optometrist.

Dr Limber was recommended to me by a friend when we moved into Comox in 2003. I fimally went to him recently. Dr Limber and his staff were very professional and friendly. I have never been happier with my glasses. I will recommend him to all of my friends and family.

went to this optometrist several years ago for disposable contact lenses, after many years with rigid gas permeable. The lenses/cleanser I was issued caused immediate extreme light sensitivity, inflammation and scratches on my cornea. Went back to the optometrist with discomfort report - he took notes and told me to persist with them and report back, as they were a new variety... it was like being a test case or guinea pig. After another few weeks of discomfort I returned with my old pair of rigid lenses and asked to have them professionally cleaned, as I had decided to keep using them instead. I went back to pick them up after cleaning, opened the case in the office and one was broken in half! I showed Dr. Limber the broken lens and he said I had done it right then, and refused to take responsibility for a new lens!
