I have seen Dr. Thomas on two occasions. First, I was sent to him to perform a nerve conduction test by my neurosurgeon. The entire time I was being tested, he bragged about the degrees his children had and the college funds he had set aside for them. Basically, no intervention with me concerning my issues. The second encounter was again being referred to him for a follow up for post surgery leg atrophy. He was short, arrogant, cut me off multiple times, and stated many things on his evaluation that he didn't check. I tried to share that, at that time, my lumbar pain was manageable, but he didn't allow me to finish my statement that would have been that, at times, it can be quite extreme, with little cause. I have calf atrophy that is not getting better, if anything, it is getting worse. This "Dr." showed no signs of caring, just a coldness. During the minimal evaluation he performed, he answered his own questions, because he told he knew how I am "wired". I do not recommend this Dr. He and his staff were rude and have no compassion for patients, that have disabling medical conditions. If they could experience, even for an hour or so, the consuming symptoms of these conditions, they may be a little more "nice".

I was startled by Dr. Thomas' arrogance and lack of compassion. He talked with his assistant about his personal life throughout my nerve conduction test. He literally did not speak to me the whole time even though I cried out in pain during the test and laid on the table sobbing from agony. He never even acknowledged me. He may know his stuff but I would rather go to someone less knowledgeable and avoid being subjected to an experience that left me feeling like a lab rat instead of a human. I will not return.

I WOULD NOT TAKE MY DOG TO THIS MAN. HE MIGHT KNOW NERVES BUT NOT HAVE THE COMPASSION TO BE A DOCTOR. HE HAS THE "GOD SYNDROME" From the first visit I attended along side my Father, I could tell what kind of so called Doctor he was going to be. My hope is that everyone reads reviews and takes heed to them. I don't write this for hate, I write this because has has taken $50 of my 91 yr old Dads money for medical records in the last 4 months. They are short with you on the phone. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!

Expect focused questions in order for Dr. Thomas to diagnose your neurological situation with pin-point accuracy. He is extremely knowledgeable and wastes no time. Dr. Thomas is the only neurologist in Knoxville to have completed a fellowship in muscular neurology -- and he is one of only three in Tennessee. I am extremely grateful to have connected with him.

Seem somewhat hateful at times. You can't get in to see him yet he takes new patients. Cut me off while I was talking and said we were going in circles.

Really knows his stuff. I've seen Dr Thomas for years. his personality is cold until you get to know him. He's a great doctor. Went to Mayo Clinic and they told me Dr Thomas is one of the best in the business.

Very rude, arrogant and condescending. Refused at one point to listen to symptoms because "you are giving me too many". Should have walked out of office.
