Excellent excellent Dr in every way. All the staff r excellent toooo I've been in his care. for 9 years cos my back was really really really bad. He was the only one who would touch my back. He goes thro everything with u when u have a problem and if he cant help u he will refer u to someone who can.

I was left in extreme pain and unable to walk more than a few steps following my procedure. Was also given the runaround post op and fed a lot of false information about what had actually gone wrong.

Dr Braad Sowman has changed my life for the better. Not even 1yr post-surgery and I'm living a whole new life. For 13 years my pain was ignored, belittle, I was gaslit into believing it was all in my head, and to finally be seen and believed and listened to by Dr Braad put me on a course to a new life. His knowledge and technique are top notch, he's honest about the expectations he has for his patients to fix their own health and the expectations of what the treatments will do for the patient - no sugar coating. Before surgery I could barely walk properly, sit, or sleep. I needed opioids to get through work. I was dragging myself through a half life of pain and misery, and now 10 months later we'll, no meds, I'm working 8hrs on my feet in a busy physical job, I'm back in the gym and lifting heavy weights, I'm a whole new person living like a normal 33yr old should be, not like the broken 80yr old body I was suffering in. But I have to be honest - it just happens that I was the right patient for the right surgery. Not everyone is as lucky. I had 1 severely bulging disc, but nothing else. The rest of my discs are perfection and my bone density is amazing and my muscles l, strength, fitness, and health are optimal. Not everyone is as lucky and I am grateful that my circumstances made me a suitable patient for discectomy and spinal fusion using bone graft from my pelvis

Brilliant surgeon, had a laminectomy fusion performed 3 months ago and skipped into rooms for my final follow up. My life was terrible before seeing this man, struggled to walk and do anything now I’m walking 5 k a day and improving still. Great communication all steps of the journey , I knew exactly what was happening, including visiting me every day even on a Sunday ! while I was in hospital. Life changing experience, can’t rate this Dr enough

Just seen Dr Sowman about my back pain, I found him very informative with his advice. He is very approachable and has a great sense of humour. I found his advice to be very practical and was not interested in surgery straight away. I was a little sceptical after some other reviews, but not sure if these people listed the same surgeon. Im going to follow his advice and hopefully avoid the knife, ill be back to see him in a few months.

Waste of time and money. Got referred to see him for my scoliosis back pain, only for him to tell me to forget I have it and just go to the gym. He generalised my scoliosis and said everyone gets back pain and to deal with it basically. Didn’t get a chance to speak he was just talking about himself and how great he is. I got nothing out of seeing him.

Unhelpful, rude and condescending. Did not help me with my concern. I have since found a specialist who has helped me find correct answers and I can tell the difference in professionalism and knowledge.
