Unhelpful, rude and condescending. Did not help me with my concern. I have since found a specialist who has helped me find correct answers and I can tell the difference in professionalism and knowledge.

Doctor Sowman was a life saver for me as I was suffering from long term spine issues. He performed an ACDF surgery and before and after surgery his attention and care was immeasurable. I was completely satisfied and he has done an excellent job. Doctir Sowman took time to see me everyday while in hospital and is a good and kind hearted person who patiently listen to our problems. I always remember him with great gratitude. Would highly recommend him for any back neck, leg and arm problems

Had my surgery two months ago and have never felt better. He is professional and honest and goes above and beyond for caring for all his patients. I was recommended To see Doctor Sowman about my constant leg weakness which I was told would need a Laminectomy and fusion. I was hesitant with having such a big operation but I was well informed by Doctor Sowman about the possible risks and outcome. After deciding to go ahead I woke up instantly with no more leg pain. He was always pleasant and would 100% recommend him to anyone with back /leg or arm pain.

Had my 1 year post op appointment with Braad Sowman 26 May 2022. I cannot praise him enough. I have quality of life and pain free. I had to have a laminectomy and spinal fusion L3 to S1. I was told it would be a long recovery time as it was major surgery. I followed my physio programme and I have been pain free for 3 months. I can walk 10klms with no problem or pain and kicking football with my Grandson, something I would never have been able to do in the past. We would recommend Braad Sowman to anyone who needs a skilled Surgeon. Linda Miller

4 years later I am still paying the price for botched spinal surgery. I was told that he had never seen a screw go through the bone. As I did not ask about such an occurrence it should have been a warning. Yes, he put a screw through an invertebra. Two days after getting home it ripped through the bone! A second surgery and longer rehab. He is nice enough but I wished I had got a second opinion.

Braad performed two successful cervical fusions, rather complex injury subsequent disc's in between fusions, due just degenerative changes eventually prolapsed. On review further scans, Braad advised not best practice to fuse mid segment cause full neck loss motion & place too much extra axial loading full neck fusion 4 levels would cause further harm than good . I agreed with his opinion was very reluctant fuse 4 levels thankfully because Braads feedback, I researched further potential surgical options read various peer review papers accomplished surgeons, then discussed with Brad ask for his opinion if perhaps I may be suitable candidate double cervical disc replacement if option worth considering. Braad recommended conservative treatments first I was reluctant further surgeries last option possible unfortunately conservative pain management treatments prolapse disc's offered no relief whatsoever .
I went to see the surgeon Braad highly recommended in kind, happy to report success outcomes double disc replacement now increased range motion and nil pain levels where prolapse disc's were removed. It's important in my view, & personal experience number surgeries, as patients we listen to & give weight value to opinions of our clinicians like Dr Sowman, even if its not what we want to hear @ the time just desperately seeking improvement function yet their knowledge is based really with our best interests to better avoid potential negative outcomes, all surgeries have levels risk be it postive or negative outcomes just got accept either, sometimes chronic pain can be from other levels whilst we may wrongly think it's from post op levels operated on.
I've read few reviews on here think some people better focus on positives reflect way Braad helped you than anything trivial negative that may well indeed not be at all related to post-op surgical outcome
Highly recommend Dr Braad Sowman and his staff, greatful for his help.

Saw Braad and like other patient was sent for MRI, I made follow up appointment and contacted him after MRI, he arranged injections before my follow up appointment, was very efficient. He is obviously very busy, but did get back to me, I did have to chase it up but you have to follow up your own problems sometimes. He does listen and picks up on my problem very quickly, he obviously knows what he is doing.

Very brief appointment. Sent me for an MRI and asked that I made contact once MRI was performed. I did this many times and calls were not returned. Feel sorry for his office staff having to deal with angry patients wanting answers after having investigations. After care and follow up was below average. I would look elsewhere.
