After 3 years of struggling I eventually decided the replace the hip. Right from the very first test - the process was professional and seamless. Dan explained very clearly how I had got to the state I was in and showed a deep understanding and knowledge of my condition. This put my mind at ease and gave me the confidence to trust this surgeon with my future! The surgery was faultless and the healing was textbook. What stands out for me was the excellent patient support and care by Dan, Penny, Hollywood Nursing staff and The Joint Guide App - it is 4 weeks post surgery. I have walked a few 3km walks, doing daily rehab exercises easily and most of all I am pain free - absolute freedom! Thank you Dan and team you really did transform me . Cheers Helen

Mr Fick performed bilateral patella replacements on my knees 11 years ago & for that I was grateful, the whole experience back then was amazing. After recently undergoing a total knee replacement, I have nothing but praise for Mr Fick & his team & also for the medical staff at Hollywood Hospital. The daily text messages are true to the tee, it’s as if big brother is watching me lol, so spot on! My recovery has been great, up & walking unaided at 4 weeks post surgery! I am very grateful to Dr Fick for his excellent care and compassion. I had an accident 50 years ago and have constantly been told nothing wrong. Fifty years later Dr Fick not only found my hip problems but also the rest of my body. Unbelievable. The total hip replacement surgery, before and after care incredible. Mr Fick and his team have been amazing, both before and after surgery. The team approach and follow-up text messages have meant that I have felt supported through the whole joint replacement journey. It is nearly 5 weeks since my surgery and I am walking pretty well now (6000 steps a day). With a few more weeks of physio exercises I will be back on the golf course. I would have no hesitation recommending Dan and his team.

It is just over 5 weeks since my knee replacement surgery both Pre and Post involvement from Dan and his team have been quite amazing and would be fair to say has gone a long way to the speedy recovery I am making. One looks forward to Dans message everyday of encouragement together with technical advice on progress and you are left with a peace of mind that you have not been cut loose on exist from Hospital, very important.
Of course all of this supports Dans Surgical prowess together with his Teams.

I have just had a hip replacement by Dr Fick . I received excellent care , not only surgically but also care for me as a person. I cannot praise highly enough the model of care that Dr Fick and his team provide. I spent only two nights in hospital and have had considerate and professional attention since.

Totally 110% comfortable and confident with Dan. I’d heard some horror stories about bilateral knee replacements but my experience was absolutely seamless. I never anxious or had any doubts from my first consult right through to surgery.

This was my second hip replacement with Dan. The left hip was done back in 2012 & R/ hip almost 5 weeks ago. He is an excellent surgeon backed by competent staff. I was released a 3.30pm the day after the operation.

The was very little pain involved requiring very few of the post -op pain killers. I found the automated tips & outline of expectations very useful & reassuring.

I have no hesitation in recommending his team.

Have now had two replacement Hip surgeries. One in 2019 the other just 5 weeks ago. Excellent Dr and have no pain from surgery and walking without a crutch 4 days after! Would recommend Dan as the whole Team is very knowledgeable and professional.
