This was and continues to be the worse medical experience I have ever had. The staff at his office is extremely rude and condescending. None of them have the due diligence to call a patience with their lab results even when that was the expectation. Took me months of following up on my own to get any sort of answers/results on the labs Dr. Grabie called for. There is no explanation either when trying to get more details about my results, I was just met with them being cold and rushing me off the phone when it was them who was unorganized and never called or sent my results as requested. They are the least apologetic, helpful medical workers I've ever met.

In the appointment itself I was interrupted and told nothing was wrong with me before the Dr even would listen to all my symptoms and pain I had been feeling.

Parking is expevsive, the wait was about a half hour after our appointment and he does not seem like he has the will or patients to help his older patients.
I might be wrong but that was my first impression of him.

Saw me immediately after being referred by my OBGYN
He is kind, caring, diligent, professional and kind. Front office staff can be a bit rude though.

My 95 y.o. grandpa who has chronic heart failure was seeing this MD. During one of the visits doctor displayed almost rude behavior: upon walking into the room he did not even acknowledged my grandpa (no "hi", no "how are you"). Doctor seemed to be very irritated, rushed into the room, asked about my grandpa's current medications. Unfortunately, grandpa forgot the list at home. That was the beginning of the nightmare. Doctor literary asked us why we came if we have no list of current meds. Then he sent my grandpa to the lab to get current blood test to see how much Lasix he should take. That was the last time we ever heard from MD. We tried to reach the doctor for more than a week, calling twice a day (!!!), to see what the blood test results were and if grandpa's dose of Lasix should be adjusted, but the doctor would not return phone calls. His secretary said that MD already called us and talked to us, but it's a lie, since I have only cell phone and every call is recorded, even a missed one.
Finally, doctor's secretary told us that doctor forwarded the results of this blood test to granpa's PCP and that "the doctor doesn't wish to see this patient any longer", because "we are being rude!". Us! being rude!! for trying to get hold of md!!!! Unbelievable!!! I have never seen a doctor who refusing to talk to a patient. What kind of a human being is he?!
Rude, unprofessional and horrible.
We will look for another nephro doctor.

A difficult, unpleasant and dangerous physician. Totally disconnected from the welfare of his patients. I have heard from the nursing staff that he loathed by them all. Beware.

doesn't help you out. It is ok with him if you are sick for years. Refuses to run requested needed tests. Doesn't know what medical test to run for certain illnesses. Extremely short appointment time.

Dr. Grabie has been ourPCP for over 20 years. I'm a 70 year old male and always been treated courteously, professionally, and accurately. Things that have always helped is to be prepared with issues to be discussed, asking questions that are relevant to whats going on, follow through with referrals as prescribed, and being your own advocate to medical care and treatments. Our experience with Dr. Grabie leads my wife to refer most of her geriatric clients through Dr. Grabies office and follows up with his referrals. He is a caring physician but demanding and exacting in what he prescribes or who he provides referrals for. He is a top echelon provider and we count on his expertise and guidance. Those that have written negative ratings here may not have had reasonable expectations of what was needed or were unprepared to discuss their issues appropriately. I highly rank his and his staff on everything they accomplish.

Dr. Grabie was rude and uncaring about my 87 year old mother's condition. He did not attempt to a certain the cause of her medical condition but instead put her on pain medication to mask the problem. He should not be practicing medicine. If you need care, you are better off going to webmd rather than Dr. Grabie.
