Biography

Dr. Likens is an experienced chiropractic physician, acupuncturist, clinic director, team chiropractor, and lecturer with focused practice attention to the treatment of veterans, acute and chronic pain, auto injury, sports injury and performance, family chiropractic, injury rehabilitation, corrective spinal care, and health maintenance. Dr. Likens has achieved certification in Whiplash & Brain Traumatology through the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, acupuncture, the Assessment and Grading of Personal Injury, and has achieved significant continued post-graduate education in Chiropractic Bio-Physics, spinal curve restoration, and clinical nutrition.  He has utilized this extended training to help his patients recover from acute and chronic injuries. During his 16 years of practice Dr. Likens has taught injury prevention and recovery, health retention, and workplace safety in individual, group, and workplace settings.  He has performed impairment ratings for permanent disabilities derived from injury and has operated as an independent medical examiner and an expert witness.  His extensive experience working with patients, veterans, athletes, physicians and health care professionals, advanced imaging, employers, and human resource managers has earned him an uncommon global perspective within the health-care industry that has allowed him to build solid multi-disciplinary relationships and to be a strong resource for employers, educators, sports teams, and community groups.
