Biography

Laura A. Linebarger, Psy.D. earned her undergraduate degree from Texas State University in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy. She went on the earn her master's and doctorate degrees from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Chicago in Clinical Psychology with a focus in Psychoanalytic Psychology. She won the coveted ‘Emerging Scholar Award for Best Clinical Research Project’ for her original research titled, “Addiction Factors Within Obesity,” as well as other awards with the Illinois Psychological Association, American Psychological Association and Kentucky Psychological Association. Dr. Linebarger has long-standing experience and breadth within the field of addiction as well as key specialties in ADHD, LGB and Trans* issues, and sex and sexuality. She has professionally published and presented on multiple topics has been a visiting professor for graduate studies at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, the University of Louisville, Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Linebarger solidifies her core specialties by staying conversant with the latest research and branching out to educate herself as she positively grows and changes from the relationships with her clients.
