Biography
Dr. Clay is originally from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and then attended the University of Notre Dame before settling in Ohio for his postgraduate medical education. He relocated to New Mexico from Cincinnati, OH where he garnered recognition as one of the areas “Top Docs” by Cincinnati Magazine. He brings a depth of focused immunology knowledge based in intense study and biomedical research and has coauthored numerous peer-reviewed publications. He’s enjoyed speaking at various local and national academic meetings and has found educating medical trainees to be particularly rewarding. His clinical interests are broad-based and include environmental airborne allergies, drug/vaccine hypersensitivity, allergic dermatitis and hives, eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease and food allergy, mechanisms of systemic anaphylactic responses, syndromes of immune dysfunction, and inflammatory respiratory diseases including asthma and rhinosinusitis. He accepts patients of all ages.Dr. Clay and his family, including four young children, are thrilled to call Santa Fe their new home. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Clay coaches soccer, bikes, helps with math homework and enjoys a night out with his wife, NaLynne.
