I’ve been seeing him for two years. He rushes through the appointment whenever I try to share something vulnerable or my actual feelings. Most therapists listen and at least act like they care. Our sessions end up being 7 to 9 minutes long. He also never remembers what we talked about the previous week, I keep having to repeat myself every week because he always forgets. If you need practical advice and someone to hold you accountable to stay sober, he can do that-but he is not a traditional therapist who is interested in hearing or talking about how you feel. Also is usually 10 minutes late, whether it’s in person or virtual.
