Dr Tomlinson did my colonoscopy and my sigmoid re-section. Initial consult was by phone, then in person, then in hospital. He was forthright, informative, listened, advised, and agreed to my requests. The surgery was extensive, took a long time, and I am so glad it is done. He advised me it could take 3 months to get better, and it seems he was correct. The post-op consult went well & he had good post-op advice. I am glad he was my surgeon. The Surgical wing staff of Comox Valley Health Centre was awesome.

Dr. Tomlinson surgically repaired my inguinal hernia 5 weeks ago. I went into the OR at 1pm and was driven home by 4.00. I felt very little pain even after the freezing wore off. The dressing worked fine. I wrapped the area in a tensor bandage for extra support. Stitches dissolved over about three weeks. Now there is just a thin scar. The mesh is firmly in place. I'm walking a fair amount (as advised by the doctor and post-op instructions). The operation seems to be a complete success. Thank you very much to Dr. Tomlinson and his assistant - and to all the staff at Comox hospital. And to the healthcare system in Canada. patient name: Tom Conroy

My first colonoscopy with Dr. Tomlinson. I have had probably a dozen of these procedures over many years and in many different places Some have been most unpleasant. With Dr. Tomlinson, there was no discomfort whatever. Also, he is a pleasure to speak with.

I have had Dr. Tomlinson as my surgeon for 2 rather complicated hernia operations during the last 8 years and can highly praise his skills, his personality and his sense of humour and bedside manners.
I can highly recommend him.

I had Dr. Tomlinson perform an emergency right hemicolectomy in October. I have been told many times since the surgery that I was very lucky to have him because he did the surgery laparoscopically. He is obviously on top of his game. I would recommend him to anyone. In my case I didn’t have a choice, but if I did I would be him.

I had Dr.Tomlinson for an emergency appendix removal and I just saw him for follow up. I have to say it's so refreshing to feel so comfortable with a surgeon with the ease of conversation and knowledge. He also preformed a surgery that was much worse than expected and was not afraid to tell me this and give me some interesting information on how things went. He's kind, courteous, empathetic and very knowledgeable and a great surgeon. I felt I was in excellent hands and so grateful for him.
