Absolutely a magic man ,have had lower back fusion ,2 separate fusions on my neck, with 3 more to go .highly recommend Dr Gatehouse .am away at the moment & the office has called to see how i am going ,who else would think to do this .....a very caring dr...so much faith in him ...

I had most of my thoracic spine fused and he did an amazing job. I couldn't recommend him enough.

Did not like him at all. Just got randomly allocated him when I went into the Wesley with back pain. No helpful suggestions or referral to therapies etc.

Have had Dr Gatehouse fuse my lower spine .& neck..in 2013 ..& go in again on the 20 Dec 2016 to have c5/6 & c6/7 fused in my neck ...he is a brilliant Doctor /Surgeon ..Have so much respect for him ..about his bedside manner absolutely fine I have found him to be very honest about the procedure & every detail you want to know will be answered ...He is very caring. .. I also am forever grateful for all he has helped me ....Highly recommend him ...

Dr.Gatehouse performed C4 C5 instrumental fusion surgery 9 weeks ago. Prior to the operation l could hardly walk at all. Dr is a brilliant surgeon, who informed me of what was going on at all times. I found him extremely competent in all aspects. All staff from receptionist to theatre were amazing. I am now going back for follow up appointments. I am forever grateful to Dr for the operation. I highly recommend Dr. Gatehouse. He has given me back quality of life.

My 13 year old daughter was seen by Dr Gatehouse in April 2016. Having seen a number of specialists in excess of 20 for various health issues-various family members over the last 5 years, I rate Dr Gatehouse as the top I have ever dealt with. His approach, explanation and bedside manner were exceptional. My daughter commented even I understood what he was saying. His staff (Bushra) is amongst the friendliest and professional receptionist I have dealt with.
I recommend Dr Gatehouse to anyone who whats a clear understanding of their health issues.

Dr Simon did surgery on my C5 and C6 on March 10, 2015. After over 30 years of pain on my R arm/hand and neck, and being mis-diagnosed in the late '90s. I was eventually free of 99% of my overall pain. He was extremely thorough in all aspects. He was the only surgeon who found what was causing my increasing pain on neck and arm-to the stage where it was difficult to do the most basic and simple daily tasks. I'm eternally grateful to him and Dr Joseph. My life is back to normal, including weights at my gym! (I'm 59 and fairly fit once again). Marietta

Had spinal surgery in July 13. Didn't work, but got a staph infection while in hospital. Had surgery again in Dec 13. Signed form to have 2 fusions and a disk replacement. Went under anesthetic only to come out to discover Dr Gatehouse decided not to perform this operation. Had been opened up and nothing was done. Managed to get a staph infection again. Couldn't get a straight answer out of doctor as to why the surgery wasn't done. Devastated. Had to pay for Freedom of Information forms to get theater notes to discover that the doctors writing is in legible. His office still hasn't sent through a report to my GP. Could not ever recommend this surgeon to anyone.

I had a micro lumbar discectomy performed by Dr Gatehouse and 16 months later my back is fantastic. Dr Gatehouse is a brilliant surgeon and he improved the quality of my life as the pain I was in was debilitating to say the least. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone with back problems. I found very pleasant to deal with from consultation through to surgery, he is a brilliant man.
