Dr Yazdani is an absolute gem! He has provided me with outstanding care during my adenomyosis and endometriosis journey over the past few years. I started my journey very phobic of surgery and under kind and patient approach to care I have managed to receive the treatment and surgeries I badly needed and my quality of life has GREATLY improved. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is nervous about surgery as he will really put you at ease - but for anyone needing an empathetic and understanding OBGYN, I cannot recommend Dr Yazdani enough. His manner is extremely warm and compassionate, he really listens and he really helps you understand the options without judgement or pressure. His staff are great too!

I couldn't rate Dr. Yazdani more highly. He is exceptionally personable and knowledgeable. Given my prior negative medical encounters, I approached this experience with some hesitation. However, Dr. Yazdani and the team quickly dispelled my worries and made me feel truly supported and at ease. I wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Yazdani and would not think twice about recommending him to others.

Dr Yazdani is an amazing specialist in his field. I am 36 and only had one round of IVF (ISCI) where I fell pregnant on the first attempt after having a fresh embryo transfer. Dr Yazdani and his team went above and beyond to ensure that our treatment was timed perfectly, even at the expense of a Public Holiday. Dr Yazdani’s upbeat personality made our overall experience an enjoyable one, and his zest for life is contagious. Thank you for everything #TeamAY

Was weight shamed by this man who made assumptions about me and my eating habits.
Went to a different dr had surgery and dropped 15kg after having cysts removed.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear that you have had a poor experience.
Unfortunately, obesity (a BMI of over 30: ww.health.gov.au/topics/overweight-and-obesity/about) is directly related to your risk with surgery, worsening with size. Obesity significantly increases the risk of anaesthetic problems (such as stroke), surgical problems (such as the risk of bowel and bladder injury) and problems after surgery(such as wound infections, lung infections and deep venous thrombosis). Any of these incidents may unfortunately result in permanent and irreversible disability or loss of life. Finally, your size limits the ability to perform surgery because the fat obstructs access to the pelvis, instruments need to be specialised and don’t move as well through the thicker layers and our anaesthetist cannot maintain the required head down position long enough for a procedure that may last for hours.
In line with Australian guidelines, we discuss and, where possible, correct factors that could affect your outcome, such as smoking, alcohol intake, weight and other medical conditions. All of these are assessed in our consultations. We only discuss weight if your BMI is over 30 (obese) AND you need a procedure that is compromised by obesity. Our clinic offers ongoing support and care, and we schedule elective surgery once your BMI is under 35 (moderately obese), or if you have been unable to alter your risk profile, or if your situation becomes urgent. Emergency surgery will be performed at any body weight, but the risks obviously need to be accepted.

I would recommend Dr Yazdani to everyone. He is kind, professional, knowledgeable and generous with his time. IVF can be a hard journey, Anusch was there with us every step of the way. We are now pregnant with our second baby, and can’t thank Anusch enough.

We went to Yazdani for IVF. Every interaction was kind and professional. I felt he always had time to answer my questions. I would definitely recommend going to him for help. Also, his receptionist is incredibly diligent and responds to emails and calls rapidly.

Dr Yazdani is fantastic. He's been my doctor for a few years and has such a genuine and gentle approach. He's attentive, takes the time to answer questions and reassure (great for an anxious patient like me!). He's been very supportive and helpful in terms of weighing up the best ways to treat my endometriosis and adenomyosis. He gives a balanced perspective and sees things from the patients side too. I've been impressed with his staff also. They are very responsive and helpful.
