Dr. Brian Cho is wonderful. I have been under his care since 2017. He is very knowledgable, caring and patient. I used to commute to see Dr. Cho in person; however, due to the pandemic, I have been able to speak to him over the phone.

Dr. Cho from my experience is NOT a pull pusher. He spends time talking to me to provide me with different insights and try to build coping strategies to hope with my mental health conditions. I have nothing but good things to say about him.

Wrote in his medical notes that hospital help would be DANGEROUS. Had a heart problem that he wrote off as anxiety that took a long time to get correctly diagnosed due to his notes.

I have been seeing Dr. Cho for 17 years and he is very patient, kind, helping, and compassionate.
He is a very good psychiatrist.

Dr. Cho is a consummate professional. His commendable patience allows you to work through issues step by step, session after session, month after month. He is at once compassionate, analytical, and precise, which is key to striking at the heart of whatever is bothering you. If he ever seems terse, it's because he takes his obligation to help you seriously, even if it means making you feel somewhat (rather gently) uncomfortable. Without Brian, I would be stuck in a cycle of rumination, but now my days unfold openly. That's thanks to a gradually fine-tuned medication regimen and resonant CBT. If I could rate him any higher I would; I'd trust this man with my life.

This man is a clown. Completely neglected my fathers care. Zero communication, zero empathy, zero results. If you want a doctor who actually communicates, go elsewhere. The patient care coordinator should be paid a LOT more for having to deal with him.

In the beginning, I wasn't sure about him because his questions seemed a bit intense. I have a hard time trusting new people, and I wasn't sure if he was judging me. Luckily my husband was there for the first few appointments and he reassured me that Dr. Cho was just trying to get to know me.

He's a good guy, has great insights, he is certainly NOT a pill pusher, and I feel so much better after I talk to him. I am glad I took the time to get to know him and he took the time to get to know me. If he does prescribe something, I trust him and I feel comfortable taking it because I know him to be reasonable if there are side effects.

I've been with him for a few years now and I feel very fortunate to be in his care.

Having seeing Dr Cho in-person for 5 years since first year university, he was my first mental health professional. At the time the whole mental health thing was new to me but I had the misfortune of being placed in this man's care. I remember reading a review about him saying he's a pill-pusher to the nth degree. Not only is this absolutely true, he's not even responsible enough to make sure my prescription doesn't run out abruptly (only way to contact him was leaving a an email or voicemail... none of which he got back to me until a few days of running cold dry on wellbutrin... something specifically Dr Cho told me no to stop suddenly due to safety. I'm now reading more reviews about this man's passive-judgementalness and general lack of care or empathy and I have to agree. You don't realize this CRUCIAL sort of thing in-person when that person supposed to be helping you find this stuff out but are incompetent at it. This is why it's soooooooo important to find someone who cares. I made more progress in half a year with a social worker than 5 years with Dr Cho. Do yourself a BIG favor (ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE TELLING APART THOSE THAT HAVE YOUR BEST INTERESTS IN MIND FROM THOSE THAT DON'T), stay CLEAR of this person and don't waste your time/life because you never get those back. It took me years to finally process this stuff and get it out so others don't have to go through this man. My apologies for not posting sooner.

I'm surprised to see so many positive reviews as that was not my experience at all while under his care and I was his patient for quite some time, more so because finding a new psychiatrist is much like hunting a unicorn. I found him extremely judgment, do not let his quiet, passive deminer fool you into thinking he there to offer genuine sympathy or his support, his attempt at comfort always felt artificial. He was quick to box me into a diagnosis, and he did not budge no matter how much my symptoms shifted over the years. He prescribed me benzos for my first anxiety medication, and when I told him my experience was negative he insisted I break the tablet in half- he is an irresponsible doctor. Avoid at all costs, he's clearly here to cash in the OHIP cheques and nothing more.

I have met several psychiatrists in the past but I’m confident to say that Dr. Cho is my favourite - in terms of him listening to my concerns and providing me advice. He provides comfortable environment for me to talk even the ones that I’m not isually comfortable talking about. Rather than giving me direct advice all the time, he allows me to think openly on my own, beyond the situation and from different and various perspectives. He is also very punctual.
