With Dr. Bucci being a specialist you can expect to have a wait because besides you her other patients have issues also. I rather her take her time with them because I would expect that when she see's me. I have been a patient of hers for 4 years now and I think she is wounderful!

I've been going to Dr Bucci for awhile now, and the staff is incredibly rude, and recently it's been rubbing off on Dr. Bucci herself. I mean, what kind of doctor YELLS at their patient over the phone and then HANGS UP on them? Also, like a previous commenter, I've had to take me diabetes treatment into my own hands recently, because Dr. Bucci refuses to listen to me. I can't believe any doctor can stay in practice when they're as rude as Dr. Bucci and her staff, regardless of how knowledgeable they are. Needless to say, I'm looking for a new Endocrinologist. I'm tired of waiting up to two hours in a waiting room and then being treated like a second-class person.

Dr. Bucci is one of the best doctor's I have ever encountered. The people who say she is not punctual have probably shown up late to their own appointments. When someone shows up to check in at 8:30 for a 8:30 appointment they are already late and then expect the doctor to run on time. She gives each person the attention they request and does not run a time clock telling them they have to leave when their 15 minutes are up, or however long their appointment is. As far as her staff is concerned they have always treated me with the appropriate courtesy, even when I have not been courteous. We all have issues we deal with and sometimes we take things out on people who do not deserve them. People do not understand what medical staff deal with until they are put in that kind of a situation. Health care is a tough field and I applaud anyone who gives their time to help others, especially when it comes to someone's health.

Dr. Bucci herself is a wonderful Dr, However, you do have to sit in the waiting area to be seen but overall she's a pretty good Dr. Her staff on the other hand is not wonderful. Her office Manager is a not pleasant to say the least and the rest of the staff is very rude. They don't return phone calls and just about every single time you call, you have to leave a message on the answering machine and wait days for somone to return your phone call. Don't bother leaving a number to return the phone call to because they take it upon themselves to call at home even if you ask to call you at work. The office manager flat out told me to find another Dr if I was unhappy with them which is exactly what I plan to do. I would only recommend this office if it's the last place left in Columbus, Oh.

First of all I have seen every lousy endocrinologist in the Greater Columbus area and Dr. Bucci was my last hope! From my first visit she has made me feel that she is GENUNINELY concerned about me. I began to see her for Type 2 diabetes and PCOS yet she uncovered that I had hyperparathyroidism as well - something I had never heard of. After testing it was determined I needed to have a parathyroid removed. Since the surgery I have never felt better and I believe this is all Dr. Bucci's doing. Did I mention that she has even called me on the weekends so that she can talk with me instead of a nurse. As I said - She is truly a WONDERFUL doctor.

Went to Bucci with high blood sugars. Main doctor wanted to find out why I was having high sugar reading. Like the last poster it took several months to see her. In the mean time my main doctor and I got the readings lowered. What I needed from her was to find out why my levels were high. All she was interested in was treating the symptoms - not finding the cure. Was rude, Her staff was OK-ish. We agreed that I wouldn't be her patient any more, and I left her office. She couldn't leave it with me having the last word - she sent a certified letter telling me that I was no longer a patient there (I hadn't tried to contact her after I left the office). Very immature. Wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

Had high blood sugar readings (750+). My PCP referred me to Bucci. Took 3+ months before they would work me in. Had to take insulin injections into my own hands & increase hte amount to get my sugar level down. Office visit was disappointing - medical staff were border line rude. Bucci (to her credit) did take time to sit down and talk to my partner and I, but I left with her giving me very little help in controlling the sugars. She doesn't seem interested in helping a person get their sugars under control in a quick manner.
