Finally after several iui’s at Ohio reproduction we decided to turn to Dr Jain, and do IVF and well here we are going to be parents. Amazing dr and staff!

Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility (RGI) in Westerville, Ohio is by far one of the most unorganized and unprofessional healthcare clinics that I have ever experienced. While there are many notable issues, the biggest one and the common denominator seems to be Dr. Akas Jain. Firstly, I was not the actual patient, but my wife was. My wife was referred to Dr. Jain by her gynecologist. We both met Dr. Jain during the first appointment. Seemed to be promising with his awards in his office–I am now convinced he purchased them himself. He was fully aware that we are a same sex couple trying to get pregnant. We never tried to hide it and were very open about it. It’s not like it is an unheard of situation to have a same sex couple coming to a fertility clinic. After the initial visit, I was not allowed to be in the room with my wife, so usually I would be in the waiting room or in the parking lot. Every single appointment after, Dr. Jain seemed to have had amnesia and forgotten that my wife was in a same sex relationship. He would constantly tell her to take her medications, use the shot, and to have intercourse. She would then look at him weird before he realized he had no clue who he was talking to and what her situation was. He even made comments such as, “you don’t look gay.” Not only is this EXTREMELY disrespectful and offensive, it is completely unprofessional and could be considered discriminating. I am not a doctor, but you have a chart for a reason! It is beyond concerning that he didn’t even seem to have read it and this happened during EVERY visit. It was not a one time instance.

On top of him being completely clueless as to what is going on with his own patients, he is extremely rude and horrible to his staff. It is unnecessary to yell at a member of your staff when they’ve made a mistake, but it is completely inappropriate to do so WHILE there is a patient present. It is pretty bad when the staff feels it is necessary to apologize for his behavior. This has to be an extremely toxic place to work and I feel sorry for those who feel that their only option is to stay there and deal with such a condescending, unprofessional “boss”. During our last visit, we had a “last straw” moment, when we were told that the prices changed again without warning. Dr. Jain told us one price during the initial visit, we paid $600 for the first procedure, were told that we were overcharged the first time during our second procedure, and back to $600 for this last time. After this incident, my wife was taken back to her room and the nurse practitioner was amazing and made her feel like she was in a safe space. Dr. Jain was not allowed into the room during the visit. If the clinic was ran by this nurse, more people would go there and leave happy. Dr. Jain is usually sprinting around from one side of the clinic to the next, which seems that he is likely packing as many patients into a day that he can just to make easy money off of these people who are so desperately trying to have a child. I do not recommend anyone to this clinic–specifically to Dr. Jain. Save yourself some money, time, and heartache and go somewhere with a doctor who actually cares.

My experience at RGI with Dr. Jain was fantastic! I will admit that as a new patient negative reviews led me to believe that he wasn’t the best choice at the practice. However, in reality he should be your first choice. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, confident and straight forward. You always know your options, how viable they are and what he thinks is the best next step. He takes the time to answer your questions and is very personable. Dr. Jain is invested in his patients, is willing to call or text patients after hours, and genuinely feels any frustrations or celebrations with the patient. I have felt completely confident in his care and I can’t wait for the future he’s helped my husband and I build!

Dr. Jain is truly an expert who cares about his patients. I had low odds of getting pregnant but am now pregnant with my first baby and can’t thank him and his staff enough. I appreciate his honesty, dedication (including seeing patients on a Saturday if that’s when your cycle is) and incredible knowledge. He has a lot of patients and often you have to wait at appointments but that’s a small price to pay in my mind. But they always get you in for appointments and try to accommodate your schedule. His staff always responds to questions/phone calls promptly. Overall there’s not words to describe how much I appreciate what he’s done for our family.

I would highly recommend Dr. Jain. He is a straight shooter. He doesn't paint a rosy picture only to get your money. He tells it like it is. He was my second reproductive physician I had seen and the first I felt really only wanted my money. I felt like cattle being herded through. This is a very difficult process for all involved. I can see how he can come across a bit crass but take him or leave him. He was straight forward with my husband and I and now we have a beautiful little girl because of this. No, he is not for every personality but at the end of the day he is the reason my husband and I are completely blessed with our daughter. God bless him. And yes his staff.. Bethany.. couldn't be more awesome.

I unfortunately would not recommend him to anyone and have in fact warned my friends away from him. I read in another review here that he is rude, condescending, unprofessional, and barely gives you enough time/attention to realize with whom he is seeing- I couldn't agree more. I have often been taken aback by his rude and/or unprofessional comments (including swearing and sharing anecdotal information from his other patients) and his continual push for me to use donor eggs, despite the fact that I have told him it is financially not an option for my husband and I and I do have a few other reservations.
I should have called regular OB-GYN for another recommendation after my first visit with Dr. Jian. And just in case you are wondering: no, My husband and I have not conceived and I am too far in the grief of this realization to consider other options at this point.

However on a positive note, his nurses are simply the best! Such wonderful ladies, it's a shame Dr. Jain doesn't have their people-skills or level of compassion.

My fiancé' and I LOVE Dr. Jain. This of course a scary journey to embark on, and I had done so much research. I finally was recommended to RGI by a friend of mine who had gone to them. I didn't see the same Dr. as her, however we were blessed with Dr. Jain. We had our consultation, and he made so much time for us. He really seemed to care, and wanted to help us! He even extended our appointment to do an ultrasound to see what he was working with as I had a ton of scar tissue, and my tubes tied. He referred me to a high risk obgyn so that I can deliver with peace of mind should we get pregnant! That right there shows me that he really cared about my well being from the first day! I've been through heck and back with my deliveries, and now knowing that I can trust the Dr I deliver with this time will know exactly what to do makes it that much easier. Dr. Jain's staff always responds quickly to any questions I have (as we're new to this so there are so many!) They never act like we're bothering them, and are very knowledgable! We go back Feb 3rd to go over blood test results, and to set our schedule for the beginning of everything. I just know we're in good hands and I'm so very thankful!

My husband and I are forever thankful for Dr. Jain and staff. Prior to finding Reproductive Gynecology, we went through a different infertility clinic and I couldn't be more grateful to find Dr. Jain. He was honest, real, and wasn't afraid to tell us exactly what to expect. Infertility is an emotional process that requires sensitive doctors and staff, and that is exactly what we found in Dr. Jain. I never felt like a number when I would call and ask questions and everyone was very friendly and willing to go out of their way to make the office welcoming. We will be welcoming our IVF baby very soon and we couldn't be happier. I would recommend Dr. Jain to anyone and we will be back very soon for another round.
