I am very surprised to see the amount of complains about the receptionists and no action is taking yet. The receptionist is rude, passive aggressive and highly incompetent. Its sad because I have heard that Dr Kirkham is a great doctor, but her rude receptionist is really spoiling the experience. Her receptionist has consistently forgotten to call me back to schedule appointments and when questioned she says she is "very busy" and cannot talk and will call back.

The receptionist is the most unhelpful, unprofessional and unknowable employee there. I had a trip to the emergency room and required to book a follow up with Dr. Kirkham, which the receptionist made it extremely difficult to book. She told me that in order to book a follow up appointment, I was required to send all of the patient records and imaging by fax only or no appointment could be scheduled although I am a patient of Dr Kirkham’s. The receptionist informed me that it would be difficult to get my records from the hospital that I went to because Dr Kirkham isn’t associated with them.. however when I called the records department at the hospital they informed all the receptionist had to do was fax them with the required information and records needed and they would gladly send it over to them. Instead I am left having to complete and send consent forms to the records department to release my information to Dr Kirkham’s office AND I had to PAY to fax my imaging records to Dr Kirkham’s clinic. This receptionist should learn how to pick up a phone and get the information from the hospitals instead of making the patient jump through hoops and pay money just to get a follow up appointment!!!!

I love Dr. Kirkham. She is wonderful. Kind, patient, and really made me feel comfortable. She is so knowledgeable and takes time to answer all questions with care. Shows a lot of passion for her job and patients and my experience with her could not have been more enjoyable!!!!

I find it really hard to believe that Dr Kirkham is unaware of her receptionist's behavior and treatment of patients. In my opinion those are the Dr's instructions and the receptionist is just doing her job. When I was trying to book my consult and explained what I was going through , the receptionist indicated that Dr Kirkham is not currently providing those services and that I should look for another OBGYN. I have a been her patient for a while and she recommended I do a surgery which is now giving me some symptoms. For that reason, I have decided to no longer seek medical treatment, consult from Dr Kirkham as I would like to be treated by a Dr who actually cares about your long-term wellbeing and is willing to follow through on your file until all has been resolved. It appears Dr Kirkham decides what she prefer to work on.

Dr. Yolanda Kirkham is very kind and friendly - I feel lucky to have seen her after months of waiting. She takes her time with you, makes you feel comfortable, and answers all your questions with compassion. I had a wonderful experience under her care :)

I have met with Dr. Kirkham twice over the years. Once for the delivery of my daughter via emergency c section at St. Joseph’s, and again today for the much less joyous occasion of a d&c after a missed miscarriage at 14 weeks. Both times she was equally kind, assured, compassionate and empathetic. I am grateful for her care in both situations. God willing we are blessed with another child I hope to cross paths with her again.

Dr. Yolanda is very knowledgeable and friendly. I saw her during my first pregnancy and I always had a great experience even during the pandemic. If need be, I will continue to see her in the future.

Dr. Kirkham has been absolutely fantastic to have as a doctor. Her first instinct is to believe her patients, which is unfortunately not very common. I suffered from debilitating menstrual cramps for 6 years, I had passed out, thrown up and screamed in pain on multiple occasions, but none of my doctors took me seriously. As soon as I started seeing Dr. K, I got a diagnosis and treatment plan and I don't experience nearly as much pain now. Dr. Kirkham is easily the best doctor I've ever had. Unfortunately, as a result of her being such a great doctor, she is extremely busy and if you need an in-person appointment, you'll probably wait at least 6 weeks for an open slot.

Dr. Kirkham has always been extremely helpful, however there are a few things that I feel need to be addressed.
Her receptionist has consistantly forgotten to call me back to schedule appointments. Considering Dr. Kirkham has a long wait list, justifiably, it is ridiculous that this has happened to me on at least three occasions.
Additionally, I feel like Dr. Kirkham, among many OBGYN's can unfortunately be a little dismissive at times regarding pain tolerance. As someone with endometriosis, when I had my IUD installed with her, I was instructed to take Ibuprofen 30 minutes before, and I was in so much pain I had to take a couple of days off.

Following that, when I had my IUD removed with Dr. Kirkham a month later as a result of consistent unending pain, I was again instructed only to take Ibuprofen and the pain after lasted me an entire week of time I had to take off.

I feel like Dr. Kirkham, like many OBGYN's needs to offer other pain management strategies for IUD insertion/removal among other procedures. Additionally, when I had to find Dr. Kirkham at her hospital and beg her in person to remove it, I felt dismissed due to her stating that IUD removal is a very easy procedure and that I could have someone at a walk-in-clinic do it. This screams to me that she might be out of touch, but walk-in-doctors I've been to are hesitant to preform basic STI screening if it involves seeing your gonads, let alone remove an IUD.

Dr. Kirkham is a great, kind, and knowledgeable doctor, with unhelpful staff, who needs to maybe update herself on some things and offer more pain management strategies. But among many terrible OBGYN's, she's one of the best.

Dr. Krikham inserted an IUD for me and did it in an extremely compassionate and competent manner. I felt like I was in very good hands throughout the procedure. Great experience.
