I have nightmares about this doctor and how getting stuck with him in the public system ruined my mums life.

Guys a terrible doctor completely inept. Wish my family never met him. Could not of come across a worse doctor.

I’ve been seeing Dr O’Rourke on and off for about a decade now. I was lucky enough to be seen by him when I was initially diagnosed with MALS. He did my very first surgery (excising the arcuate ligament) and although I required more surgery from a vascular surgeon after, it had nothing to do with his skill or expertise (Rather that my celiac artery was just unsalvageable). He however was the doctor who initially made me feel like I was actually being heard for the first time. Given my condition is rare I had a lot of doctors tell me that my pain wasn’t real and Dr O’Rourke did not do that. I then recently developed Gallstones and he was absolutely phenomenal. I was able to get in quickly and have my surgery with no wait! He also let me stay in the hospital to recover as having 3 kids 3 and under made it not ideal to rush home! His bedside manner is excellent and he is always teaching his students as much as he can. If I were a med student I would be requesting a placement with him! I would definitely recommend him (and I have) as you would be lucky to have him as a doctor!

Dr O'Rourke recently treated my son and myself for different issues 3 days apart. In both instances he was professional and confident of the action to be taken. He explained the surgeries well, performed them well and had a great bedside manner. We are so appreciative of your help Dr O'Rourke. Thank you.

I've had 2 surgeries with Dr O'rourke so far and both have been a success, he is extemely knowledgeable and if he doesn't know I think he's at least willing to look further into things, he is cautious and doesn't just want to cut you open and get money he genuinely wants to help his patients and that I really do believe! He may have a bit of a blunt affect at times but I think I expect that with all surgeons tbh! It's not a field for emotional people like myself! I am very thankful for Dr. O'rourke and the help he has given me thus far and I would recommend him to anyone else without hesitation, his admin ladies are absolutely wonderful and work their butts off and really help to ease the process of things as well. I am thankful to his practice and himself for all of the help I have received thus far.

This dr has given my mother a death sentence after 6 months of not being able to give an accurate diagnosis ordering tests in wrong order and 6 months wasted trying to prove the person who did her original scan was wrong. Turns out the original scan was correct and wasting 6 months has caused the cancer to spread. His incompetence has jeopardise her chance at a recovery.

I owe my life to Dr O’Rourke! I have had 2 surgeries with him now and would recommend him to anyone I care about. Great sense of humour and bedside manner, in addition to being an incredibly skilled surgeon. Receptionists always happy to help as well. I couldn’t be more grateful 😊

Dr O'Rourke is jokey, friendly and approachable without sacrificing professionalism. He performed a cholecystectomy and biopsy on me only a week ago, and after an overnight hospitalisation I have needed no pain relief at all. I do observe the limits on lifting and extreme activity but feel wonderful, and grateful that he has spared me the future pain that other gallstone sufferers describe. Mille grazie Dr O'Rourke!

Dr O’Rourke is one of the best doctors I have seen. He has operated twice on me and he is so knowledgeable and professional. He is also extremely caring. I love how he is a real person who talks to you not over you like many doctors do. I also love his sense of humour, which put me at ease. He really is an amazing doctor.
