Twice now I've had the pleasure of treatment by Dr. Venugopal. Once while he treated my mother, and once for myself.

In addition to his excellent care (which felt as if there would be nothing that could stump, shake, or rattle him), he was exceptionally respectful and polite.

All without wasting a second, which in the ER could be the difference between life and death.

Dr. Venugopal treated my elderly father in the ER after a fall. His genuine compassion and empathy made a huge impact on an otherwise anxious time. He took the time to explain, to treat my dad with dignity, while moving the examination and testing along efficiently. Our story ended well and we thank him immensely for his care.

I’m not surprised to see 5 stars across the board for this doctor. When I saw him in the ER he was thorough, professional and validating. He wasn’t convinced he had diagnosed my issue, and therefore sent me to another hospital in Toronto to be assessed by another physician he trusted. That says a lot about a doctor, to refer out when they are not sure shows they take their work seriously.

Dr Venugopal cared for my mother recently at the emergency ward. He was caring, understanding, and even followed up personally a couple of days later. I have never had such a great experience with a doctor in my life. I also observed him hard at work between wait times and I could see his empathy with all patients.

Dr. Venugopal is not my doctor but I just heard him speak on CBC re: COVID, protestors, front line health workers and the current offensive and irrational behaviour of some Canadian citizens. His remarks were articulate, intelligent, direct and reflected the compassionate, knowledgeable and reasoned professional I would want for my doctor. Most of all, his defence of Registered Nurses, the role they play, the courage and steadfastness they display in very difficult situations and the degree to which they are taken for granted and undervalued made clear to me that he is one of Canada’s finest. I thank him for his humanity and professional integrity. Anyone who has him for your physician is incredibly fortunate indeed.🕊

This is an amazing doctor! I saw him in the ED at St Joseph Health Centre for anaphylaxis and he was extremely helpful. He was very reassuring and helped us out a ton and explained the medications he wanted to prescribe and didn’t give it a second thought when I refused them! He is the best doctor I have seen ever!
