Dr John Cameron was not interested in the cause of my headaches, even though my X rays have explicitly stated that C2/3 are degenerative, he said there is no reason that my neck would cause headaches. He was not interested and passed me off as generally healthy after 2 basic reflex tests. This guy should retire, he is obviously tired of his job.

An extremely bad experience having a DVA assessment with a doctor who is just totally against an injured Veteran being compensated fairly for their service caused diagnosed neurological medical problems.

Dr Cameron was condescending and general, after a few reflex tests he told me my headaches and migraines had nothing to do with my neck and told me I was perfectly healthy and led me out the door after a 10 minute consultation

He is a very careful and experienced Physician, a doctor's doctor. I agree with a previous comment that some are complaining because they didn't like the opinion he expressed in a report to an insurer. Some doctors, not Dr Cameron, will give an opinion which goes beyond what the state of medical knowledge will allow. The difference is that Dr Cameron is honest, and some others are not.

Will say whatever the person paying his fee wants him too. Don’t be fooled by what he says or how genuine he comes across because this man is a snake! If you have been made to come see him as a IME by workcover then don’t expect him to be “independent.”
Avoid if you can

Got to the office, the staff were nowhere to be seen. I was let in by a patient who was sitting inside. I waited 30 minutes and the (what seemed to be) only receptionist walked through the front door saying sorry she was late for work (11am)
John was very casual in the meeting, asked very broad questions in relation to my back injury. He tested my reflexes and then said thanks, cya later. Got back on the plane to fly home, when I got home I ended up being rushed to hospital by my employer for said back injury (aggravation due to plane trip) , had an MRI to be told by doctors that my back injury has gotten even worse but then to find out that John has said in his report from a week prior that
I no longer require any medical assistance, I’ll be fine in a couple of weeks (injury has been ongoing for 5 months btw) and insinuated that it was psychological. Very disappointing to be told it’s not that bad and it’s psychological as I lay there in hospital unable to walk. Nothing but a hired gun for insurance companies. If you’re referred to him, run away.

He wrote the incorrect site of my symptoms on the report and totally ignored others like a numb leg. He was very interested to know if I had any litigation history (I don’t). Very inappropriate/unfeasible recommendations in his consult letter. Avoid if you are on workcover or have a medical related complication.

I can not rate him more highly. Incredibly intelligent, kind, knowledgable and empathetic.
I believe the other reviews are related to insurance claimants whereby the insurance outcome did not necessarily meet their hopes/plans?

Your mental and neurological health is worth more than a 2/5 doctor.
