A very caring and kind dentist. The best experience on my teeth cleanings. Very gentle and thorough.

After filling my wisdom tooth and going through a course of antibiotic my pain came back as he mentioned that it might, before hand. He told me he will extract the tooth himself if the pain comes back. By the time I called to make an appointment with him for extraction he refused to do it himself and left me up in the air with excrutiating pain. Now I am running around to find a new dentist. Disappointing and hurtful experience.

As an out of town patient, Dr. Tam's staff was accommodating to my scheduling needs. For my regular checkups and cleaning, Dr. Tam would personally perform these tasks, instead of delegating them to assistants. During the procedures, he would ensure that I was comfortable. He would take the time to explain his procedures and his recommendations to me.

Staff very helpful. I had a broken tooth that was cutting my cheek. He fit me right in and filed it down. He arranged to fill it the next week. He did a great job. I would highly recommend him.His prices were certainly reasonable too.

A very uncaring dentist with bad manners. After my tooth extraction, I had reactions to the anesthetic. I was a bit ill for about a week. I told him about my symptoms during the removal of the stitches, hoping to get an insight or an assurance that it is okay. He wasn’t happy with the question. He rudely tapped the side of my mouth where the tooth was and asked whether it hurts. When I said it doesn't, he said he doesn't care about anything else. He turns his back to me and tells me to see my doctor. He flings his hands into the air and left the room. If he applied the anesthetic, isn't he responsible? The staff is not as bad, but the apathy seems to be rubbing off, so they are not great either. There are a lot of bad dentist in Vancouver and he is just one of them. Thanks to ratemds.com, he doesn’t have to be your dentist.
