Really screwed up my care. Stay away from him! He took me off a certain ADHD medication that I had been on for close to 20 years saying it was making ill despite my protesting that it was not the issue. Spent the next 8 years in hell severely impaired without my ADHD meds. That medication was reintroduced a year ago by another doctor and wouldn’t you know it, I got better. Dr. Melani made a serious blunder that cost me several jobs, brought on major depression, and ruined my reputation.

He is my current doctor. He had time to listen to my problems. And would always consider my thoughts everytime i see him. Very knowlegeable specialist. I feel like i am getting better with how he treat my concerns.

I don’t understand the hate Dr. Milani gets. He was extremely helpful in managing my medications and suggesting other ways to control my anxiety. He didn’t want me to go to therapy if I wasn’t committed to it which is different from other psychs I’ve seen. Not to mention he took time to list my positive qualities and all the good things in my life to appreciate. He’s certainly the best psychiatrist I’ve seen and I can’t wait until my next appointment with him

I left a fairly scathing review when in the midst of an episode. Dr. Milani doesn't particularly deserve the bad rep he's getting in some of these reviews, or at least my own. I've sought medication from my GP instead, and his recommendations have been fairly in line with Milani's own. Just kind of feel bad about my past review, and I had to use a VPN to even put up a second since I couldn't edit it.

I now see someone different now so I have a measure of comparison opinion... he actually zoned out starring out the window. Cant say I miss him, cant say new shrink much better though. In general, I think psychiatry the introverted, lazy kid in the family. They're all as smart as the next in med school but choose this specialty because they faint at the sight of blood. The pills help me far more than milani did.

Ive been seeing him for 2 years. He doesn't listen. Any medications outside his favourites he knows nothing about including the one I'm on-so why not just switch me to the one of his favourites...It's my body- I have some say in all of this believe it or not..what med's I take and what med's I don't. I moved from another city to Calgary and had an amazing doctor then I got Dr. Milani. It's like he is a typical government worker just pushing paper until the time clock says it's 4:00 and he can go home. That's the impression I receive over and over each month when I see him and he shuts me down and writes the script. He's in the wrong industry. But one reviewer had it totally right on here....they said 15 mins tops...let him ask his 5 questions...give him your 5 answers get your prescription and go...SO TRUE!

I was referred here because I had to go not because I wanted to. He has no background or qualifications for what I have and I'm not here to educate him. I felt uncomfortable when he pressed me for answers of a private nature that I established I was not going to talk about. Have this guy cash in by prescribing me pills? No thanks. pot is legal. I'll stick with that.

Attended a session with him today... extremely patronizing and mansplains things I didn't ask him about. As a woman, I do not recommend him to other women. He actually didn't even listen to me when I brought up some of the things that I was worried about. The lady at the front desk was nice though. I ended up leaving his office and having an anxiety attack... Such a great first psychiatrist visit.
