It seems to me that Dr.Shilletto is the best OBGYN and ultrasound expert in the world (if there was such a competition, he would be the winner for sure). He conveys information very respectfully and in detail, is delicate and initially positively disposed to work with the patient. I have sincerely enjoyed the general communication and the results of his work. I would definitely trust him during pregnancy and childbirth.

Dr. Shiletto had delivered my first baby girl Leah a year and a half ago and here I am again with my second pregnancy and so incredibly lucky to have him as my OB. My first pregnancy was such a pleasant journey as he was so reassuring, caring, and informative. His sense of humour truly makes your first time pregnancy experience less stressful. We were lucky to have him there during our first delivery, hopefully things play out in our favour for the second. However, every physician and nurse we’ve met along the way through him have been absolutely wonderful! Truly hurts to see the negative comments here about someone so caring. After all, he’s only human and has a family of his own to go back to. So. yes, is it hard to go through a delivery without someone you’ve trusted and been with the whole journey, of course! However, just like anyone else, this is his job. Although very dedicated to his patients, he too has a schedule. So, he may not be there for your delivery but he would be reassuring you every step of the way to that point. Thank you Dr. Shiletto!

Though I haven't seen Dr Shilletto in years since 2010 before the birth of my fraternal twins, he saved my twins from being born at 28 weeks. Dr Shilletto had bedside manners always let me knew what was going on with my high risk pregnancy. My twins are now about to be 13 years of age. I hope you are still practicing because I need a ob after my ivf transfer.

Logged on here because have been so happy with Dr. Shilletto & felt compelled to spend the time reviewing such a special physician and team! Caring doctor, with incredible track record that speaks for itself. Has taken care of us through every pregnancy (3) and would not want to place our trust in anyone else. Truly the best of the best! 💙 is saddening to see a negative review for such hard working professionals, especially as we pass two years of a pandemic where these hero’s have shown up every day for their patients. Not sure how someone could put knowledge at 1 star for a high risk specialist, that has delivered ten of thousands of babies with over 25 years in practice. Nothing but praise from our family. I am genuinely surprised to see his good reviews. I was uniformly disappointed with Dr. Shilletto. I walked into his office with an abnormal ultrasound report in my hand saying I either had a cyst or a C section isthmocele. I tried to tell him I was told during my embryo transfer I have an isthmocele. He told me to stop talking over him. I asked if I needed to take my pants off for the ultrasound. He said no, he’s keeping his pants on too. Super hilarious joke, except the view required to see the isthmocele was a transvaginal view. He told me I had a normal uterine thickness when I did not (some ultrasound expert). Somehow every tech has been able to see it, transvaginal view or not. He pushed an unsafe VBAC on me. I flat out asked him how long he would let me at 38 years old with an IVF pregnancy go before wanting an induction and he didn’t answer. This concerns me because the reason for my prior C section was a failed 39 week induction. He accused me of “being all over the place” because I wanted to talk about my concerns instead of hear a middle school lecture on genes when I have a terminal degree in a STEM field. I guess he thinks I’m an idiot because I am a stay at home mom. He does not take his own history. I watched his nurse sit there and edit out what she thought was irrelevant from my medical history. Well long story short, I did have an isthmocele. I only had 2mm residual myometrium (normal is 10) and I walked that situation into a midwife office where they were ill equipped to deal with it. I’m filing a complaint against him with the College.

Dr. Shiletto recently delivered my healthy baby boy at NYGH. He was fantastic. He saw that I was anxious and helped me through my emotional labour.

I trust this man with my life. There are no words to describe the level of respect I have for him. He delivered the greatest gifts in my life. He made all 4 of my pregnancies just wonderful experiences. I even needed to have gallbladder removal during one of my pregnancies and the only thing that reassured me to do this was him. I will truly never forget Nick and his wisdom and humour. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you Nick - Tracy and the girls

Dr Shiletto is the epitome of an excellent doctor. I had the privilege of having him oversee my care for my high risk twin pregnancy. He was super knowledgeable, kind and really took time to answer my questions. He also has a wonderful sense of humour and the staff and nurse in the clinic are all great as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking out the care of an OB
