Dr. Chernick is great, he is prompt and willing to listen always. I see him once a week, never had a problem with waiting. I don't know why people complain about triple booking, how would they know if they are not the ones booking the appointments? Wait times vary from business to business. I wait for 10 minutes in the line up at No Frills. No one ****es about that on a website? Get a life people, if all's you can complain about it waiting for a few minutes, then maybe you shouldn't waste the Dr.s time with your colds and other attention seeking minor complaints. Dr Chernick is a great doc.

Have been patient for several years, also my son. ALWAYS wait so long to see him when you go in, despite appt time. Hard to get hold of receptionist at new office in Oak ridges. His nurse is always great. Wish he wouldn't overbook so many appts, and if you had his full attention, I'm sure he could be great doctor

This doctor is very helpful, but sometimes I had to wait for my appointment close to an hour. Other than that I have no complaints

My family has been seeing Dr. Chernick even before he moved offices from Newmarket Ontario to Oak Ridges, and I can tell you that he was much better in Newmarket. Smaller office, more time with patients, he discovered a hormone problem which was trouble for my mother for years causing high blood pressure when no one else could! But unfortunately I've lost respect for him...My mother recently passed away from lunch and bone cancer. It was a terrible experience for all. After months of pain and suffering she was diagnosed in hospital and fought for only four months before passing. Dr. Chernick took a chest x-ray months before the pain became too much and we STILL have not heard the results. Would it have made a difference??? Probably not..but the reasurance that your doctor cares or is doing his best helps..I was disgusted with him and told him so, there was no reason they would miss TWO spots on her lung. You be the judge to risk your health with him.

if you came in time or even 10-15 minutes before your appointment you will ALWAYS wait 1-2 hours before you will see Dr.Chernick. My mom warned him she was going to ask him not only 2 or 3 questions, but more, including results from the specialist he reffered her several months ago... After about 10 minutes he left her without any explanations (and answers about that specialist opinion)for another patient. My mom was so shocked and upset...

Dr. Chernick is a very pleasant doctor. However, a few of the things I dislike about him are: a) he triple books (obviously has no respect for his patients' time b) he never takes a few minutes to even review his patient's file so that he is prepared for the appt.--that's shameful and very unprofessional. What's the point of having a family doctor if you have to pretty well recount your whole medical history each time you see him. c) he's good at prescribing drugs, but his knowledge base of nutritional/herbal remedies is sadly lacking d) you always feel like he is a rush and is not really listening to you. I wish I could find another doctor, but I don't have the time to really look. My best advice is to conduct your own research into your personal ailment and then just get the doctor to give you what you need. Dr. Chernick, I hope you take the time to read this and try to change some of these negative business practises. You could be a good doctor and really make a difference.
