Ive had alot of appts with dr tarik since moving to fogo island.at first i wasnt sure about him and kept my family dr off the island in gander at the time.i do have a few medical problems so i wrote him a letter and asked him if he would take me on as a patient.absoutely he said.ive been seeing him now for 3 years and he is the best dr ive had since my old gp retired and i would rate dr tarik so good as my old gp.he is very knowledgeable and we have a good many laughs which always brightens the day.i would reccomend any body to him and i hope he sticks around for a long time.

I feel sorry for the person in comment august 2012, you have seriously lost out but are entitled to your opinion . His compassion and knowledge alone makes him a great doc. Feel comfortable knowing he is here and extremely lucky to have him. Great doc!

Dr. Tarik is an excellent doctor. He is the most kind, compassionate, caring and accomadating doctor that has ever been on Fogo Island. I am honoured to call him my family doctor. If at all possible I see no one else. As I have personally told him " you are AWESOME!"

Dr Tarik is quite knowledgeable about even rare diseases or conditions. He is friendly and remembers things that you have told him during previous visits which show his interest in his patients. I would feel very comfortable knowing that myself or my family members would see him during an emergency

I wont go see him again....he tried to get me to take diabetes medication because my blood sugar was seven - which is still in the normal range..I understand diabetes, (works in seniors home)so I know the good ranges to have your sugars in..................also he has tried to get me to take cholseterol meds and I refused them. He was angry with me for refusing the prescription.my cholesterol is three which I know is normal...he said my previous sugars were around one. which is not true because I always see the results when they are on paper in my file. my cholesterol is always three. I just hope that if I ever have to go in as an emergency I pray this incompetent doctor is not there.
