I've been seeing Dr Karamdad for about ten years. Her punctuality is atrocious. Typically she's running 45mins to an hour behind, but I've had to wait as much as one and half hours.
Her bedside manner is good, but her examinations are pretty bare bones. As a male in his late fifties, I would expect a more thorough examination, especially for an annual physical. At least my previous doctor's were, and that was when I was in my forties.

She has extremely poor punctuality and is also extremely defensive about it when you point it out. She can be very rude if you tell her that she’s been making you wait, even though it’s a blatant fact. She does not want to book each patient for longer because more patients a day = more income, and it’s painfully obvious. I appreciate doctors and I will gladly wait for them, however if they get rude or defensive instead of just apologizing for the delay, that’s when it’s unacceptable. Highly would not recommend her as a family doctor.

I am very disappointed with Dr Karamdad. I have had multiple referrals that have gone missing with no follow-up. Her time management (or lack there of) is inexcusable. Any appointment I have is always 1 to 2 hours behind. I do not feel confident my health needs are being met in being under her care. I will be finding a new Dr.

Nice doctor who expresses genuine concern, but she's always 45min-60min late for appointment. Knowledge seems average.

Dr. Karamdad has been my family physician for 10 years and she has always given me the best care and listens to my needs. She is also my kids doctor and she’s so great with them. The office itself is very busy, and often running behind, but Dr. Karamdad never rushes and always makes sure I leave with all my questions and concerns dealt with.

Dr. Karamdad is afraid of prescribing medication. She does it easily after another doctor has initiated treatment. She is more concerned about her professional risk than the wellbeing of her patients. I need a doctor who would prescribe what is needed and who would refer me to a specialist to get me well.

I was under Dr Karamdad when she was first in practice out in Saskatchewan it was 2003 she detected a problem with my Thyroid and due to her professional promptness, I believe she saved my life. I eventually lost contact due to coming back to the UK but I had a lot of respect for her and her father. If you ever get to read this I hope you and the children are well. Jayleigh x

She was my first doctor when I moved to Calgary several years ago. She listens and cares but perhaps too much as she takes a long time with patients which is nice but necessary? In my opinion doctors need to schedule 20 minute appointments with not more than 2 concerns and have good staff to follow through on that. Her appointment wait times are not good. It is better to walk in. Referrals take a long time. She is a very busy doctor - seems like she has taken on a lot.
