I also have a hard time rating this doctor as I have only ever talked to him over the phone. His MOA refused any in-person visits - she said ever since covid. I am supposing these 5-10 min calls maximize his earnings, the real reason. When our province is this short of gastroenterologists He gets away with it. I was supposed to have him for a colonoscopy but was given the wrong type and dosage of laxative. His MOA never inquired about my digestive background. So now I am in a long wait for a second crack at it. Frustrated immensely as my conditions keep getting worse.

Colonoscopy 2014-01-24 - this was my 4th col. and 1st with Dr.Monkevich, previous 3 were done at UBC with Dr.Freeman (outstanding - he retired). I have difficulty "properly" rating Dr.M since i was completely and totally "knocked out" which i have never experienced (and neither did my husband with 2 diff. doctors at diff. clinics) - i have no idea what happened and Dr.M never came to let me know how the test went. I was told by the nurse to go and see my family doctor for the results - she handed me a piece of paper outlining of what i was not allow to do for the next 24 hrs and on it was scribbled "no polyps". (I had none in the past either but the doctor always told me so despite the fact that i was aware of what was happening during the procedure). So - i am not impressed with Dr.M and will insist on a different doctor and clinic next time. (My father died of colon cancer).
